Canopies & Screen Rooms

Product Selection

Keep Covered: Canopy Tents, Pop-Up Tents & Screen Rooms

Make the most of your get-together with canopy tents and screen rooms.

Enjoy the shade: Canopy tents, pop-up canopies and screen rooms provide much-needed respite from sun and rain for your outing—find the perfect shelter for your barbeque, tailgate party and outdoor event.

Consider the type of canopy that works best for you—basic shelters are versatile, lightweight and can be used in a variety of settings. Team shelters keep the whole roster covered on the sidelines and a screened-in canopy is the perfect spot for a picnic.

Take shelter in canopies from brands, like Caravan Canopy®, Quest®, and E-Z UP®.

Buying Tips

Canopy tents, screen rooms and pop-up canopies are available in a variety of materials, constructions and styles—choose one that best suits your outdoor gathering.

A simple pop-up canopy is constructed of lightweight materials, ensuring that set-up and transportation is a breeze—most can be assembled by one or two people. Pop-ups and other small canopies are ideal for use in mild weather conditions.

Other canopies are designed to better withstand strong winds and rain, featuring more solid, durable components. These canopies are heaver and take more time and care to assemble, but perform better when Mother Nature is unpredictable.

Canopy tents are available with slanted and straight legs—a feature that’s not a matter of aesthetics. Slanted legs provide a wider base with less canopy coverage, while straight legs tend to provide a greater canopy area and more stable construction.

Expert Advice

Think about the strength and thickness of the tarp and frame when making your selection.

Polyester tarps are durable, easy to clean and water-resistant—but not waterproof. Polyethylene is an ideal fabric for semi-permanent structures. This material offers waterproof coverage and UV-ray protection. Polyethylene canopies with a vinyl coating are also flame-retarding, though heavier to carry.

A canopy’s weight is often a prime buying factor. A canopy with an aluminum frame is often lighter and easier to carry and transport. Aluminum is resistant to corrosion and rust—but this material is not well suited for windy conditions.

Steel frames, meanwhile, offer strength and durability. Steel weathers heavy rains and strong winds, but can sometimes be more difficult to carry and assemble.
