Menís trail running shoes should always feature an outsole that provides aggressive grip on challenging surfacesóthink loose dirt, gravel and rocky terrain. Some come with deep lugs, which help you take on mud and slick ground.
Your running shoes should feature an EVA or polyurethane footbed for responsive comfort as you move. These innovative foam materials help absorb and disperse shock upon impactóso you can go the distance.
Low-profile footwear helps you feel light and agile on your feet. Mesh paneling in the upper provides strategic breathability and airflow to your feet. And be sure to keep in mind weatherproofing when selecting your outdoor running shoes. Look for waterproof materials and a gusseted tongue, which helps keep dirt and debris out of your shoe.

Find your stride with trail shoes that match your unique running mechanics. Menísí trail running shoes are available in three basic types: Neutral shoes, stability shoes and motion control shoes.
When you run, your heel typically hits the ground first. It then rolls slightly inward and your foot arch flattens. These natural mechanics provide shock absorption for your joints. Related to this movement, runners generally fall into three categories:
- Runners with ďnormalĒ pronation are biomechanically efficient runners and should use neutral trail running shoes.
- Runners with overpronation experience an exaggerated inward roll following heel strike. These athletes can stabilize their run with motion control trail shoes or stability trail shoes.
- Runners with under-pronation experience an outward roll of the foot following heel strike. This tendency results in insufficient shock absorption upon impact. Runners with this trait should opt for stability and motion control shoes that provide ample cushioning .
