Proposition 65 requires warning labels on products that contain certain levels of the 600+ elements that the California Air Resources Board considers a carcinogen or a reproductive toxicant. California Transparency in Supply Chains Act.
As required under the California Transparency Supply Chain Act, we are disclosing our efforts to mitigate the risk of slavery and human trafficking in our supply chain. Through our associates and third parties, we assess our direct supply chain for risks, including slavery and human trafficking.
Suppliers of DICK'S private label products must comply with our code of conduct (our "Code"), which prohibits suppliers from using forced labor, whether in the form of prison labor, indentured labor, bonded labor or otherwise. Additionally, our suppliers certify that they are in compliance with the laws in the countries where they operate.
Through our associates and third party audit companies, we conduct announced audits of these suppliers with regard to compliance with our Code and local laws, including the prohibition on slavery and human trafficking. Suppliers who are in violation of our Code and local law are subject to corrective action plans or termination.
Additionally at DICK'S, we provide training on our Code to our associates who have responsibility for our direct supply chain, including the prohibition on slavery and human trafficking and ways to mitigate this risk. Associates who have responsibility for managing our suppliers and compliance policies are held accountable for the execution of the policies and may be subject to consequences up to and including termination for lack of compliance.
