Shipping Methods and Costs

How are shipping costs determined?

Shipping costs are determined by the item's size, weight, shipping method and delivery address. In your shopping cart, we show an estimated shipping cost based on lowest price shipping method, and assume all items in your cart are going to a single address within the contiguous states. If you select a different shipping method, an APO/FPO address or an address outside the continuous United States, your actual shipping may be higher.

Where do we ship?

  • 48 Continental States (parcel and freight delivery)
  • Alaska/Hawaii (parcel 2-day ship method only)
  • APO/FPO addresses (parcel – US Postal Service)
  • US Territories, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands (parcel – US Postal Service)

At this time not all items can be shipped to P.O. Boxes and some items have shipment restrictions. Ship restrictions can be found on the item details pages.

What shipping methods are available?

DICK'S Sporting Goods offers customers many fast and convenient shipping methods for items purchased on DicksSportingGoods.com.

Small Item Shipping Methods:

Small items include products such as apparel and footwear. We offer three shipping methods for most small parcel items:

  • Standard (3-6 business days)
  • 2 day (2 business days)
  • 1 day (1 business day)

Please Note: If you choose a 2-day or 1-day shipping option your order must be received and credit must be approved by 12:00 p.m. EST or your order may not be processed until the next business day. Business days are Monday-Friday and do not include federal holidays within the United States.

Large Item Shipping Method:

Large items include products such as treadmills and other fitness equipment. Items that are too large and/or too heavy to ship via parcel are shipped via a large item carrier. After the carrier receives your order you will be contacted to set up a delivery time. Typically, the carrier requires a minimum of a four-hour window for the delivery, and an adult (over 18) must be available to sign for the delivery.

Curbside Delivery typically includes lift-gate service to unload your item from the truck and place it at your curb. Drivers do not carry the item inside your building or assist in set-up. If you choose this delivery method, we recommend you have someone with you to help bring the item indoors.

Threshold Delivery includes lift-gate service to unload your item from the truck and deliver it through the first threshold of your building.

Room-of-Choice Delivery includes lift-gate service to unload your item from the truck. Your item will then be delivered through the first threshold of your building and into the room of your choice, including one flight of stairs, up or down.

Room-of-Choice Delivery & Assembly or White Glove Service includes lift-gate service to unload your item and bring it through the first threshold of your building. The item will then be brought into a room of your choice, including one flight of stairs, up or down. Your item will be unpacked and fully assembled with all packaging removed.

Delivery & Installation includes lift-gate service to unload your item from the truck and deliver it to the installation location of your choice. The full installation process will then be completed. Dig permits are required prior to the delivery and installation of basketball hoops. Your carrier will contact you by phone to schedule your delivery and confirm all required permits are completed.

Gift Cards:

  • Ground (6-10 business days)
  • Third Day (3-4 business days)
  • Overnight (1 business day)

How Do I Track My Shipment?

You can track your package by going to the Order Tracking page as a registered customer or through Track Your Order as a guest. If you are tracking your order as a guest, you will need your order number from your shipment confirmation and the zip code on your billing address.

If your shipment contains Scheduled Delivery services, you can track your shipment to the delivery carrier's destination. The carrier will contact you within 2 business days of the carrier's receipt of your shipment to schedule an appointment. If you are not contacted by our carrier within 2 business days, you may contact them directly or contact us.
