Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice for a kid, not for someone expecting performance I bought this for my 6 and 8 year old daughter. They received a Bear Brave for Christmas and they couldn't pull the string back with their fingers and the wrist caliper I got them was too big for them. This was a perfect solution for them.it locks securely to the string, they can get a good grip on it, and I can help them draw the bow without having to hold onto the stringBad things with this are:Clips to the string and not a D loopYou have to fiddle with the trigger when locking onto the stringToo small for adults with big handsThe rubber piece on the trigger can slip off and get lost

Rated 5 out of 5 by from alternative Good alternative to the traditional hand draw.....

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Didn't work Had my compound bow at its most loose setting, and the trigger would not hold

Rated 2 out of 5 by from fun for the backyard, need more for a serious hunt. Hard to get the sting into my sweet spot while using this. Will probably have to buy the more expensive straight style release that straps onto the wrist. It's good enough for backyard fun/plinking. When the shot matters and I don't want to risk simply wounding an animal I will need something better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product for the money was able to shoot my bow with a cast on Great product for the money, was able to shoot my bow with broke hand and a cast with this release
Date published: 2014-08-05
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheaply made, DO NOT BUY Very cheaply made. It might work on a very low draw weight kids bow but it snapped when I used it on my bow even though my bow is below the weight limit. Don;t even try it now I have to fix my peep sight, d-loop, and string.
Date published: 2014-07-23
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't purchase, Junk Be advised that this release will easily slip out of your hand when sweaty or wet. It doesn't have any straps to aid in the pull back.
Date published: 2014-07-08
Rated 3 out of 5 by from More helpful than I thought It's not as fast of a release as my old one, yet it allows me to be incredibly more accurate!!
Date published: 2014-07-08
Rated 5 out of 5 by from What I've been looking for! I was tired of pulling a trigger to a release with my index finger that should be holding the bow steady and straight instead of making a jerking back and left motion upon releasing the arrow. Awesome product and doesn't cost 100.00 like similar versions. A

Rated 4 out of 5 by from VVery easy to use. I was using a finger release and switched to the trigger release and I have a smoother and acurate release.
Date published: 2014-05-07
Rated 4 out of 5 by from good for the price Im just getting into archery and I dont want to spend an arm and leg on stuff then not even use it. But this is pretty nice. It functions well. It does feel a little cheap in your hand and can be a little more comfy. But I'm overall very happy. Good for beginners.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from BETTER THAN I THOUGHT I bought this on a whim for my bear recurve bow, and let me tell you it worked great . I didn't expect much but it gave me improved consistency of my release . You just have to make sure it is locked on good and it works. Beats numbing you fingers up using a glove.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Comment to the store/ product as for the store.. Why not have check out lanes open on all levels of store!? Also the release that said was good for left and right handers was either labeled wrong or defective. It is not good for lefties.
Date published: 2013-10-02
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good release for cheap Works. I do like the thumb trigger. I like not having the wrist velcro style.
Date published: 2013-09-25
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not worth it The pin that locks the release onto the string broke after about 10 shots. I can still use it, but have to manually lock the pin into place to draw it back. Not exactly a safe option.
Date published: 2013-09-21
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good value for the begining archer I purchased this for a compound bow that I bought off a friend. I was worried that it might be a little cheap. The strength of the construct is well made and as with most things.......time will tell. Overall I am pleased with the use of this release and may be back to buy one or two more as a back up or one of the higher cost releases. After all it is a great buy for the begining archer!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk does not hold well when drawing line Felt loose and I took it back to store, after 3 shots
Date published: 2013-06-30
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bought Broken? For a simple $10 gadget just to hold a bowstring, is it really worth driving back to the store to exchange it for another that may not work? I think not.
Date published: 2013-04-30
Rated 1 out of 5 by from No good Not worth buying , wouldn't stay on my bow. Very wobbly.
Date published: 2013-01-16
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dangerous product & costly Involuntarily fires! I put on my Martin pulled back to test and it dry fired and broke my string who knows where my TruGlo Peep sight went! So now I have to return, buy a string and new peep sight! But at least it was a dry fire and know one got hurt.

Date published: 2012-05-15
Rated 4 out of 5 by from No problems here Im not sure if I have a different model of something, but I have the same looking one I got from my uncle, i've put hundreds of shots through it and havent had one problem, make sure you adjust the trigger with the allen screw to get the best feel for you. I shoot 2" groups at 30 yards with this and cant come close to that with a wrist strap release

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible. Bought this today, and it is horrible. Cheaply made, and will not even lock into place. Do not waste your money.
Date published: 2011-08-07
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't waste your money. I didn't see how this release was so bad at first. I had just bought a 60# recurve and it killed my fingers so I needed something.[...]so I bought this one. ... It lasted about 20 shots before it started to release on its own before i could even pull it back all the way. Now I need to go buy something else. Waste of money, you would be happier if you just waited and got the more expensive one because you'll have to get it eventually.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from TERRIBLE I have a bear charge compoound bow that has the little loop right behind where the arrow sits on the string for quick releases to attach to. and this release does not easily lock onto the string.also this release almost broke my bow. i had it at full draw back without an arrow and it invulntarily released.dry firing my bow.the string slipped free i guess from the release which was still in the locked position.it did this not only once but 5 times.save urself from not breaking ur bow and dont buy this product its EXTREMELY DANGEROUS!!!!!!!!! what if i had had an arrow and was drawing back my bow and it fired?who knows where that arrow could hav gone
Date published: 2011-04-08
Rated 2 out of 5 by from cheap but better stuff out there there are two problems with this product 1) it you dont hold the pin down when your shot and just tap it and let it go your arrow will veer of like 5 feet at 15 years away. 2) because its wide in the back and you hold it like a fist when i hold my bow at my cheek my arrow go more to the right by about 2-3 feet at 15years, so if you use this product there one more thing to compinsat for.
Date published: 2011-03-28
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Total waste of money I tried this last night, it sucked, the placement of the triger makes it worthless.
