Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice feeling easy sighting. When you pull the triger its gone didnt feel anything. Beautiful. It was the wild how sweet it was. No blowback on shot just feels like it was made there just before the shot. Speed was absolutely wild. There wasn't even a streek. It was gone. Not anything I ever shot before gave me the feeling I got. Most beautiful thing ever.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice but I have been using this bow for a month now . It shoots good . Reliable, the scope is ok , I don't think much of the quiver , they only prob I have with the bow it is a lot noisier than the other bows I have used . I am going to try limb savers to see if it helps .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this bow! I very recently purchased the Barnett Recruit crossbow, but I am very happy with it so far. It was relatively easy to put together, except that the quiver attachment was tucked into the quiver and my husband had the sense to look for it there. Otherwise, it was pretty easy.I got it sighted in just fine and was thrilled that I had such an easy time at 40 yards. I use it for deer hunting in the Minnesota woods, so I don't have long shots. I've hunted every day for a week and even though I didn't see anything, I liked how it handled. At first I had trouble cocking it, but learned that if I pull up like doing curls, it was pretty easy. I wanted something that I could do by myself and this fills the bill. My husband has a way more expensive bow and he has hinted that he would like to use mine. I keep the string waxed as advised and lube the rail when needed . I am a 66 year old female if that makes a difference. Love it!!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works for me The one they put together for me had the string break on the first shot. Not sure why. Luckily I had test fired it in store and they gave me the display instead which fires fine. I was shooting tight groups of three arrows within a 1.5" bullseye on my first day with it. Pleased with this bow for now. Good quality for the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good crossbow!! I'm sure there's bad apples out there, but I've been more than happy with the Recruit. Shot two deer with it and went less than 40yds. Super accurate at 20, 30, and 40. I'm sure you can spend more $$$ but I'm glad I didn't.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from String breaking issues I should have checked the reviews before I purchased. This crossbow has major spring break issues. I got off about eight shots before my String broke. I just assumed because it was a Barnett it would be high-quality. Thank you Dick's for being so gracious and exchanging this for a better Barnett crossbow

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than advertised I bought my recruit last year, tired of carrying a heavy crossbow. performance is above rated specs 310 fps arrow wt 421 gr at 10,20,30 yards. you don't want to shoot at the same spot.at 50 yards it shoots a 4-5 in group. the only negative is the red dot is not good at low light so it was replaced with a nikon bolt xr
