Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good bike, Nice Features Great looking bike, it jumped out at me in the store and I was instantly interested. I was looking for a bike that I could use regularly for many years without having to constantly work on. This bike fell right in the price range I was looking for. I had my search narrowed down to a few different models; Trek Verve 3, Specialized Sirrus, and then I found the Diamondback Trace. The reason I went with the Diamondback are: disc brakes, larger tires, trigger shifters, and price. To me the disc brakes were the real key factor in my decision, I didn't want to mess with adjusting V-brakes constantly so the disc brake setup was a huge selling point for me.Also, I am a bigger guy (6'- 275#) and I really like the bigger tires that the Trace offered, I have put about 35 miles on the bike with no issues. I did have trouble with previous bikes that would pop tubes, so the tires really seem to be doing a good job.The cost on this bike was about $100-150 less than the other models and I believe it was comparably equipped. So that was also a factor.A few items that I am not thrilled with: *No Kickstand- had to buy an aftermarket kickstand that Diamondback recommends, for $12 I feel like it should be standard (on a $500 bike)*The tires have Presta Valves so if you don't have pump that will fit that valve make sure to pick up adapters.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Bike I love this frame. I find it really attractive. All of the components are pretty low tier but what do you expect at this price. It is so hard to find a dual-sport hybrid with a rigid fork. At this price range you don't want a suspension fork. It is just an over glorified pogo stick that adds weight and saps energy compressing under high effort pedaling. Knocked off a star because it comes with a 7 speed rear derailleur for absolutely no justifiable reason. An 8 speed would have been no additional cost to produce. Just an excuse to charge more for 8 speed RD.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well built bike for the money Had this for about a year and it has performed well. Needed to get derailer in front adjusted once, and the crank bearings were just overhauled and greased. Daily rider and after changing the seat to a wider one very comfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from xlent bike for the money Great bike fantastic workmanship and attention to detail. I special ordered the silver one with a 18" frame for $399 online and was delivered in a few days. Took it up to the store and they assembled and adjusted everything for me free of charge.I have been unable to find a kickstand that actually fits the bike so I am modifying a Greenfield KS2 to work with it. Bike is very light at I guesstamate at about 30-31 lbs. as mine is 34 with a toolkit, bikelock and lights. Highly recommend this bike or if you want something similar and little lighter look at the Insight 2 as it has the same high gearing less the heavy disk brakes land is about $499.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good entry level bike I found out afterwards they have the same model with front shocks I would have gotten that one. I'll just have to take it to a bike shop to have them add it.
