Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well made product Well made product with bamboo handles that won't slip in your hands. Adjustable to one's walking height for comfort. Use either rubber or pointed tips. I am using for more stability in walking, what with hip and sciatic problems.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Lasted only about 11 miles I used this in a hike at home and it seemed great...Then I really gave it a test, using it to do down the 6+ miles of the South Kaibab trail at the Grand Canyon. It held up well and gave me good support on the steep trail with lots of tall steps. The next morning, when I tried to shorten the pole for the hike back up, it would not lock. The mechanism between the two largest poles was broken. I was able to rig it with lots of duct tape and it was helpful going up, but is no longer in service.Moral to the story - for a real hike, pony up and buy a decent trekking pole! This is probably OK for just everyday walking but nothing too difficult.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good value trekking pole Got this as a birthday gift to replace one I lost. I like the cork handle. This is a good value and works for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything you could want in a hiking pole I have problems with my back/hip, but try to stay active. While increasing the frequency of hiking I found using a pole(s) to be helpful. I purchased the field and stream series and have been impressed. I am abusive to the poles, and hike aggressively. The cork handles provided comfort throughout a 7 mile hike, the spring loaded poles are extremly helpful on both the ascent and descent. The spikes had no issue providing a solid grip in the landscape, and the adjustable poles are helpful to calibrate a good pole height. I would recommend these to anyone interested in hiking.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Would not tighten up on the adjustment Bought this product as a sent to use on the section of the Appalachian trail we carried him to Georgia had already taken them out of the package and tried him in the house. When we took them out to go on the trail never got to use him one of the polls would not tighten up on the height adjustment. We return the product to Dick's for refund

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Trekking poles I am just beginning to use the trekking poles. I really bought them to use when my granddaughter stays with me as I will be walking with her to the playground. I have used them a few times to get used to walking with a kind of "cadence" and think the poles help my balance and coordination.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value I bought 2 of these. one for me and one for my son. We climbed Mt Washington with them (6288 ft). No issues. I like the cork handles. Sunscreen and bug repellent can make some of the plastic handles sticky, you don't have that problem with the cork handles. Straps were OK and easy to adjust. The locking collars can be a little finicky.Great value.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worth the price I bought two of these, one for myself and one for my wife. Not knowing if they would actually help on hikes and going up and down trails I didn't want to spend a lot of money. My wife really likes her's and said it helps her. for me I felt i was better off without. These are adjustable and have a spring at the bottom to absorb shock. I am 6'1" tall and I had the pole fully extended to reach my comfort zone. I would say for the money this pole is of great value.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Quality is so so. I bought this product because of the relatively cheap price. However the stick length could not be locked after the 1st time use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I just got back from using it and it is very lightweight, and does what it is suppose to. Great product. I was lucky to find it as my local store was almost out of them when I got there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product at a great price!! Lightweight and sturdy. Great performance without the big price tag

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good purchase For the money this is a good buy. the cork handles feel good in the hand and reduce sweat unlike the black foam ones. The twist lock adjustments are good and can become better with at addition of hash marks on the poles to set the same time and time again. I scratched in some marks using my knife. Also I'm 6'2" and the poles at set at pretty much max height for my needs. Of course the price was right at just under $20 per pole. So far I have used these poles on 5 different jokes about 4-5 miles each time. They do rattle and make a twanging sound while using and also a little reverberating but that's ok. Maybe after a couple of seasons using these I'll consider upgrading to something better and pricier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from glad I bought this! this product really helped during the many hikes we took on a recent vacation. we trekked on sand, stone and even snow and the pole helped on all surfaces. then at the end of the week, we were able to easily fit into our checked luggage for another time either at home or away.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product I purchased this for my grand daughter. It's adjustable height makes it a custom fit for her.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from light weight and easy I have never really used a trekking pole or stick before but thought I would give it a try. I took a fairly level hike (about 8 miles round trip) in Joshua Tree and carried it for the first half, just not used to using one, however, it was light weight and easy to carry. The return hike I used it and after a short while got the feel for using a pole and found it easy to use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good value for the price I was traveling and dealing with a foot injury. I needed a little support while walking. Did the trick. Was easy to put away during meeting and fit in my suitcase home.Took me a minute to figure out how to collapse and expand.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the price! Have used this on three day hikes and so far I think at $20 you can't beat this if you want a good Trekking Pole. I could buy a few of these for the price of the higher end poles. It is lite weight, love the hand grip, the cork covered hand grip is not slippery. I was a bit concerned it would disintegrate after a couple of uses but appears to be rather tough. The length adjustment is simply twist extend and twist tight to hold in place. I prefer this over the poles that have locking clamps because they look like they could get snagged on something. I would have given it a 5 star but still need a few more hikes to see how it holds up.
