Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent value Bought this about a month ago and the next day I took it out fishing at the local lake. The rod is very light and provided me with extra sensitivity that I was looking for. The type of fishing that I do is with 1/32 or 1/24 oz weights with a crappie tube for trout. This is perfect and strong. Caught about 10-15 trouts that day and the rod held up without a problem. I'm now thinking about get a 6 footer to make faster hook sets. Be sure to check for the spine and make sure the guides are set on it. I check all rods for this before I buy. This ensures that the rod bends straight and not turn on me when reeling fish in.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Decent Bought this to pair with the inferno reel to go trout fishing. Put lure on, hooked lure into loop and snugged line down just a bit to put in truck, Pole snapped near the tip. Didn't even get to use it. Exchanged at Dicks with no problem for same rod. Been using second rod for a while now with no problems. Good sensitivity, been holding up well so far but I'm very careful with it since the first one broke. Caught several trout up to two pounds on it and works as advertised. Hope first one breaking was a fluke. So far it seems a good value for the price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Needed an affordable medium action in a hurry! I got this rod on sale and boy was I excited! I have used it for about 6 weeks now (almost everyday) and I feel like I got my money's worth! I have caught several species and it's held up like a champ! I paired it with a Matsuo reel and it's a great combo

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Meh. Just, Meh. I bought 2 or 3 of these rods, in different lengths and powers, when I was getting back into fishing. At the time, I thought they were pretty decent little rods. However, after spending the last year+ with a higher grade rod, then re-visiting THESE rods, I quickly noticed just how inferior they really are. The backbone may be decent, but the tip on these things are way too soft and whip-y (at least for MY liking), negatively affecting the accuracy of your casts. Sensitivity is affected, also. Sure, they made be good, when you are just starting out, but I am truly convinced that they will inhibit your progress as an angler, if this is your only rod. Invest properly in your gear, and it will pay off for you. Cut corners, and you're only cheating yourself.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good price for a spinning rod This rod is perfect for the price. I plan to put 8 ib test line on it and superglue it together. I am always worried about two piece rods coming apart. But other than that its a good rod for my pinnacle matrix spinning reel.
