Rated 1 out of 5 by from Spend a Little More on a Name Brand I was looking for a pair of waterproof, insulated boots to wear when it snows. I tried these on today as well a a pair of duck boots by Sorel. I struggled to choose between the two and ultimately, decided to purchase these due to their classic look and because they were about $55 cheaper. When I got home, I decided to try them on again and the pull loop broke on one of the boots as I was putting it on. It took very little effort to break it. I believe the stitching holding it together was simply of an inferior quality. Fortunately, the staff at the store were quite helpful and exchanged them for the Sorel boots.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Gift for Son He needed a size 11 1/2 and of course they did not come in 1/2 sizes. I then thought I would get him a 12...the store did not have a size 12 in them, so this is why I had to order them online. I was wanting to use a 10 percent off coupon that was in the newspaper towards my purchase...it could not be used for online purchases. I joked with the saleslady, that's not fair to me, you all don't have what I need.My son tried them on as they were a Christmas present, he had to take them back because of the fit not being good. He used the exchange for another purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great boots Good pair of boots, only worn once so far. Only one snowfall to date. Fit is good to size but a little tight on top of the foot but use pull tab on back of boot to put on. Feet started to get a little cool after 3 hours in being in snow and temps in the low teens and I was wearing wool socks. But I was driving a tractor with no cab so no walking foot action which might have led to being warmer. They are good boots and would highly recommend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Value I just got these boots and so far they are OK. I don't know why these are marketed as a 6" boot because I measured 8" from the bottom to the top and 7" from the inside to the top. I also would've preferred if the gusseted tongue was a bit higher to improve its water resistance but it probably would've made getting in and out more difficult. I wear a size 11 shoe in 2E. Since I have a wide foot I decided to go up a size (to a 12) with these boots since its not offered in a wide version. With thin to medium socks the fit is OK but it is still a tad bit tight from the sides. It just feels like its squeezing my toes a bit too much. I can't imagine wearing these with thick wool socks, though, and an 11 would've been too small for me. If I went with a size 13 the width might be better but probably too long. Maybe it'll loosen up a bit over time. Its really soft on the inside so that's good and the warmth is good. I'm going to keep wearing them but I'm probably still going to get myself a pair of L.L. Bean 8" Gore-Tex/Thinsulate boots since they offer those in wide sizes. If you have a wide foot going up a size might not be enough for a comfortable fit especially with thick socks. For the money and for narrow to medium feet these boots really can't be beat. I just wish they offered them in a wide version.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice boot I have a wide foot with a high arch. Usually wear a 10 or 101/2 E. Bought size 11 and they fit fine with thicker socks. Width feels fine. I have owned many pair of LL Bean Duck boots which have cost up to $50 more and I like these just as well if not better. The inside of the boot has a softer lining than the LL Bean boot. Not sure how warm they will be in the winter, only plan on wearing these shoveling snow or short walks.
