Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Kayak My wife and I each got one of these kayaks and we love them. We have taken them out fishing and just paddling around with friends a few times after getting about 2 months ago, they perform great we have no problem keeping up with our friends the both have higher end kayaks. These kayaks are not unstable at all even when casting and reeling in fish. They also track very strait and do not veer off to in either direction when you stop paddling. We had first bought the swifty 9.5 we took them out and they pulled instantly to the left when we stopped paddling. So we returned them back to Dicks they took them right back without any problem or hassle then helped us get to these without any pressure. If you can spend the extra money and get this kayak over others you will be happy you did.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for the Price! Used it for the 2016 season. Does great on small lakes, marshes and river and even handled well when I took it out into Buzzards and Cape Cod Bay. My only complaint is that if it flips it is nearly impossible to get back into (I tested this in a lake). Even with a manual bilge pump it couldn't be done with out swimming to shore. I am 6' 2" and about 250, might be easier for some one a little slimmer. This being said after using it out in big water on the cape I never once felt like it would flip. It is super stable and when I did flip it on purpose it to quite a bit. Lastly it is a like a bullet in the water! Great for the cheap price! Nice platform for landing fish and tons of space for storing gear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Kayak for fishing and paddling Picked this kayak up in early and June and I have loved it. Had a hard time deciding between this one and the old towne, but I am so glad I went with this one. It has a spot molded in the back to keep a crate in place. I redid the bungee in the back so it didn't criss cross the cargo hold and I just use carabiners to keep my crate locked down in case something bad happens. Before you buy a $300 kayak as your first one wait until you have the money for this one. It has a very comfortable seat, comes with an anchor trolley already installed, scotty rod holder, and an anchor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I LOVE my kayak My husband, college-aged daughter and I all decided we wanted to start kayaking. We each got different kayaks for different reasons. After researching and reading for weeks I finally decided on the Perception Hook Angler 105. I thought it was a little more than I wanted to spend, but I am SO glad I got this. One main factor for me was the large cargo hold in back. (We plugged the holes in the back cargo space by jamming closed cell foam in them, and everything stays dry.) I can easily pack a large dry-bag, med-sized soft cooler and still have a little room. It also has a little bigger cockpit so I can bring our 15 pound mini-Ausie. He frequently lays on top out front, but occasionally sits in the cockpit with me and there is plenty of room. The other really nice feature is the extra space behind the seat. You can put a lot of stuff, back there like water bottles, dry box and fishing tackle. It is very comfortable, I can sit in this kayak for hours and not get stiff. I think because it is large enough to shift and adjust your position. It tracks well and is very stable, which is another one of the main reasons I got it. We've been down streams, in lakes and in mildly choppy waters in the lower Potomac, with absolutely no problems. I highly recommend this kayak.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great kayak I had never been in a kayak before. I was impressed with the stability of this boat. Paddles and steers very well. I like the tank well in the back. I am able to access my gear from the seat. The Scotty rod holder and the anchor are nice extras that come with it. My only concern is the boat has two molded in rod holders that are only about 5 or 6 inches deep. See my You Tube video on this kayak. I cover everything.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Happy First of all I rarely write reviews, but I was so pleased with this product I had to. I am 6'3" and weigh 295, the kayak had no issues with my size. It is very stable, maneuvered well, and is very comfortable. I use it for metal detecting so the rear cargo area came in handy. For the money you can not go wrong.
