Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nothing beats a Polar when investing in your Health. Probably the best, all around, most accurate Heart Rate Monitor for Beginners and Entry-Level Athletes, that Money can buy. Professional Athletes may even find the A300 to be a good choice, though more advanced Models may offer more useful and specific training options. You can't go wrong with a Polar when investing in your Health!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product - poor sales staff This is the HRM watch I've been looking for. I can swim, bike, run, & more. Haven't yet been able to link Polar's app to MapMyRun, but other than that, I love it. Polar has ALWAYS been the best HRM. The sales staff is probably why Sports Authority is folding. I tried to use my "The LEAGUE" card to at least get my first $5 off, but no luck, and the emailed 25% off was nowhere to be found either. BOO.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm Very Satisfied I'd used another (cheaper) HRM for with some success but this system was a real step up. The controls are easy to learn and the uploading has been flawless. I suppose the look is somewhat dated compared to other activity trackers on the market but it appears to work well. I've really only taken it off to recharge after running for about a week or so between charges. The H7 heart rate transmitter is the most impressive one I've used. Not only does it communicate over Bluetooth Plus to the A300 and my Android phone, it also appears to send the standard HRM signal that can be picked up by exercise equipment making it easy to watch your heart rate while working out. Speaking of the H7, Polar's instructions don't make it clear but you should not attempt to pair your phone with it as you would most Bluetooth devices. My phone sees it as a "Blackberry 9800" and wants input. Simply skip the regular Bluetooth setup and pair with a specific app such as whatever Map My Fitness you're using, Strava, or a heart rate app. One thing a buyer should be aware of is that the A300 is sold both with or without the H7 heart rate transmitter. This can be confusing because the boxes are identical save for a tick mark next to a small drawing of the strap on the bottom of the box. If you're planning on using the strap, verify it's included before you buy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from excelent device I fitness watch that was good enough to track my heart bit during my work out and the calories burnt but this A300 Fitnes and Activity Monitor is way better. It not only tracks your heart bit and calories, but also your all-day activity, giving you a very good imput. Also the app that can be sync with your smartphone is just great. I'm totally hooked!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Value for the Money I've been using the A300 with HR Monitor for just over a week. Still working on how to navigate and use the functions, but I really like it. I'm a senior citizen so it probably is taking me longer to work through it all, but its not difficult at all. I hesitated to buy this model because it has a chest strap, but it didn't take any time at all to get used to it. I'm pretty slim (5"10, 135 lbs) and have a small wrist, but there's plenty of holes in the band so snugness is not a problem. The readings seem accurate and the reports that are generated in the software are very good. There's lots of options (walking, running, cycling, indoor cycling, weight lifting, basketball, etc.) for activities to select depending what type of exercise your tracking. There's also a generic selection for "other indoor" or "other outdoor" if you can't find a specific category. The only thing that I have a little trouble with is the USB cable connection from the watch to my laptop. The watch eventually sync's with the software, but it takes a couple of tries. Can be frustrating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good product that I use every other day. So far no prob I use the product when I exercise to track down my heart rate, calories, fat burn and time. The product is very light and easy to understand.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great All-Around Fitness Watch I have used Polar products a lot over the years (FT7 mostly) and tried FitBit's too and some others. I was looking for a good sports watch to wear all the time that would also be an activity tracker and fitness computer too. I don't need GPS since I am a cross trainer mostly and don't run that much and don't care about tracking my runs on a map. Also, I don't need all the text message, caller ID mess showing up on my watch. The A300 works great for me. I get a great watch, activity tracker and with the heart rate monitor, a great fitness computer. I use it working out, swimming, running and biking and it gives me what I need. The only thing I have against it is it uses the new Polar Flow web service instead of the Polar Personal Trainer, so I don't have my historical workout data and the Flow site doesn't give me my training load like I used to get it. I assume the flow web service will improve since its the new direction and I believe I will be able to import the personal trainer data very soon into Flow.
