Rated 2 out of 5 by from Needed two to assemble one. Purchased online, due to 50% off sale and free shipping. Received what was likely a previous return--numerous parts were missing and, as it turned out, a number of pieces were damaged as well. Contacted customer service to report missing parts, solution was to send another unit, salvage it for the parts I needed and return ship (I had to drop it off at the UPS store, it weighs about 85lbs). Initially, I was annoyed with their solution, but after discovering some damaged parts was grateful. The new Backstop arrived in about a day. If I had to buy again I would go directly to the store so I could inspect the box. Assembly was relatively easy, and functions well; we're using it to stop pucks from flying off of our backyard ice rink. We'll continue to use it for lacrosse after the thaw. The unit "is what it is"--a frame to hold a net in order to contain balls; I would not recommend using it to take constant direct shots.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from poor quality 2 pipes were damaged from the beginning, I had to fix them before I could complete the setup and then noticed they gave me an extra of 1 pipe and shorted me 1 of the other 1's, lucky for me it was not needed because of where I was putting the backstop. The net is poor quality and does sag at the top in the middle so I had to pull it tight to avoid the sag. after a couple of shots with a lacrosse ball the net ripped away from the Velcro creating a bigger hole in the net.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works for what we needed it for We needed a basketball backstop. Works great to prevent the ball from going into the weeds. Only issue is during shipping, the box ripped (might be UPS fault) and damaged some of the "pipes" making it very difficult to connect them together. Had to use pliers and rubber hammer to reform the metal so that the pieces fit. Net is fine. I didn't think it was too fragile like other posters, but I wouldn't leave it out over the winter.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works ok, once you put it together Poor quality materials and workmanship make this thing a bear to put together. The buttons don't pop out like they're supposed to, and the silver pins to adjust the angle are worthless. Once it's put together it serves its purpose, but good luck moving it without it falling apart.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Netting is Poor Quality Set the backstop up. My kids had two holes in the net within 15 minutes. 12 year olds playing lacrosse. Not good quality. Do not buy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as advertised The backstop has been in use for a week now. It functions as needed. We use it at the end of the driveway to prevent balls from rolling down the hill and into the woods. My 12 year old son has shot at it directly with the desired result. The frame is strong. The net is fine and does not exhibit any indication of tearing as the 1st two reviews stated. It is great that you can set it up in something other than a straight line. Ours is set like an "L". So far it is working great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Backstop Very easy to assemble especially with a couple of really excited kids helping out. Took less than half an hour from start to finish. Good quality. Solid metal construction. Definitely want to take the netting down in the off season so that it will last longer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Frame seems OK, but the netting is very cheap, poorly made and designed. The netting ripped away from the Velcro strap tearing it within 1 hour after it was put up. The Velcro fasteners are not strong enough and come undone from the frame. I had to tie the net with twine the same day I put it up. Though they say the dimension is 10 ft tall, the netting sags at least 1 1/2 ft. I'm going to get my ladder out and run twine around the posts and across the top to see if I can stop the sagging. I'll be lucky if this thing doesn't completely fall apart in a month. Overall I would say that the engineering and quality of this product is poor at best.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Low Quality The frame is solid and easy to put together. Nice feature is the ability to angle the side panels up to 90 degrees. The netting is EXTREMELY low quality...the kids were able to throw the ball right through...ripping the netting the first day it was up and has gotten much worse in the 2 weeks they have been using it. This may work fine for soccer or volleyball, but it DOES NOT work as a back stop for lacrosse balls.
