Your not going to find a feel this nice this cheap everyday. I've caught many bass on it and from 1to 5 pounds on it with no problems. Smooth drag smooth feel great value.

Great Inshore Reel
I needed a cheap medium inshore reel after one of my other inshore spinning reels (another well-known brand) locked up on me. Like most folks these days I'm on a budget. I really can't afford $200 reels. After finding this super-budget model on Dicks Sport, I ran down some fairly decent reviews; Best Spinning Rods even did a review. Those reviews reflected positive comments and referred to the pricing as $25-$45, while the DicksSport price was less than the low end. So I picked up the 4000FD. It's been an outstanding reel. Casts well and retrieve is as smooth as they come. I'm running 20lb braid and about 6' of fluorocarbon leader. It hasn't bound up or thrown out a single wind knot. It's not showing any ill effects for being used twice a week, including reeling in some fighters in Gulf and local bays. I had about half an hour work on an amber jack that worked his way inshore. Even under that stress the reel operated perfectly. Seriously, this may be the best bargain reel I've ever purchased.
