Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wide size Initially tried Merrell Moabs but they were narrow on my heel. Went back and tried the Timberlands, which felt good from the start. The tongue is a little odd and bulky. They seem to be worth the price tag. Good leather.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fits like a glove, as promised; tough? I just got and wore these boots. As others have said, they fit right out of the box. The wide is not really a EEE, but it's wider than most. The exterior clearly will not take the type of beating a ridgetop trail like the AT will give it. These are not Vasques. I would buy them if you want an affordable, comfortable, light, Gore-Tex hiker. Time will tell. I'm tough on boots. bob

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Boot I like the boots, the shoelaces not so much. The shoelaces broke after wearing the boots about 4 or 5 times.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great boots Great boot, great comfort. Soles wear out and fall off after 2 years of everyday use but great boot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Classic style, excellent so far. I own these boots. Purchased them at a Dick's store after trying them on. I'm no fan of Timberland boots, purchased a few pairs over the years and I find they are over priced and more tech-talk than actual quality (especially their work boots). Timberland customer service is terrible, it's legendary. But the Chocorua model fits well, my feet are a medium width and I use an orthotic insert for plantar facitis. Snug but comfortable, firm foot bed and relatively light on my feet. I use these boots for a variety of light activities to include walking, hiking, work in my wood shop (garage with concrete floor) and casual wear. Remains to be seen if they will hold up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from On my second pair I love these boots. Had my first pair for close to eight years. Time to let them go as the soles are worn down to nothing but the uppers and hardware are intact. Very comfortable and supportive for light/medium hiking. Waterproofing is also decent. New pair seems to be exactly the same WRT fit, appearance and quality. Glad they still make them!
