Product Information:

The Longest, most forgiving Titleist irons ever, for golfers seeking maximum distance and maximum forgiveness. A thin unsupported face increases both speed and launch for more distance. High density tungsten drives the center of gravity low allowing stronger lofts to create more speed and more distance. The use of extreme high density tungsten moves weight to the perimeter increasing moment of inertia on off-center hits.

FEATURES:

  • Speed, launch and distance from the thin, fast face
  • Even more speed and distance from strong lofts
  • More ball speed off-center from the forgiving, high MOI design
  • Enhanced launch from the high density tungsten, low CG design
  • Precise flight through the set from the optimized CG progression
  • Fast through the turf with less dig from the pre-worn leading edge
  • Fast, lively feel
  • True Temper XP90 steel shaft promotes a mid/ high trajectory

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Clubs!!! My son convinced me to buy these for him; he had been platooning between a fairly new set of TM RBZs and some worn out 710 AP2s. He is almost 15 years old and I figured these clubs might help a bit, I was shocked at the improvement. His distance is up nearly 2 clubs; he is hitting his 7-Iron almost as far as the TM or AP2 5-Iron. His shots are straight, with increased lift, which is needed for youngsters. I obviously have not played every set of irons ever made; however, these have to be near the top of the list. The quality standards employed by Titleist are evident as they are obviously well made with a very nice finish. I might have to get a set for myself-They are truly awesome!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Long and forgiving! Long irons are much easier to hit then anything else. Long irons seem to be a club or 2 longer. Short irons seem to be about half to full club longer. All have a high beautiful ball flight, sound sweet off the face and very forgiving when not hit dead center.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best in class These are by far the best game improvement irons of any released in 2015-16. I know that's a bold statement but I have hit just about every GI iron or even Max GI iron and these tick every box. My main issue with irons in this "category" is that they are just plain ugly, from the thick top lines to the even thicker soles to the cheesy badging and designs, these clubs just look terrible. The Ap1 716's have managed to pack all the game improvement technologies (huge undercut cavity back, unsupported face, tungsten weighting, etc etc) into the most appealing looking club around and they have managed to even give you a bit of feel and feedback. Titleist has long had a reputation for making "players only" clubs and even their first attempt at a game improvement iron, the prior model Ap1 714, was tough to hit. The 716 is leaps and bounds ahead of those irons (sorry Titleist, but it's true). Do not fear the Titleist name and do not fear these irons, they will do everything every other brand promises and more not to mention hold their value better than most other sets should you want to trade them in towards the 718's in 2 years.
