Rated 5 out of 5 by SanityCheck Great rod, very sensitive and lightweight. This is my second Skeet Reese spinning rod. Lightweight, very sensitive tip, and plenty of backbone. I fish waters with heavy pressure, and use this rod to fish finesse baits/plastics. The sensitivity is such that it allows me to detect the lightest of hits. I am even able to detect bluegill, etc bites from bass. At first I was skeptical of how this rod would perform, but the rod has proven itself and it is well worth the cost. October 15, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by But had Nice casting rod Excellent light action rod. Perfect for dropsshotting, casting light balsa crank baits, finesse jigs and shakey heads. Haven't caught anything over 2 # yet so I don't know how it will handle bigger fish. September 18, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Dabbod Great action After using many rods in the past. If you want a stiff tip and great feel for worms and jigs this is the rod for you. I also used crank baits and spinner baits and it worked great as well. June 25, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by In Rem Extremely fragile rods We purchased two of these rods because the price point seemed fair for a fast-action rod with micro guides. Handling in the store seemed very fluid, and the length was just right for jigging trout and reds. You can imagine how disappointed I was when, on our second outing, one of the two rods snapped about 6" below the tip. No one stepped on the rod, and it was not in any way stressed more than it should have been. Chalking it up to bad luck, I removed the tip from the broken piece and reattached it to what was left of the rod. We now have a super fast 7'2" rod and a medium action 6'8" rod. Other than the breakage issue, the rods perform admirably, but I expected more from W&M. July 9, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Bassaholic great rod well worth the investment Each Skeet Reese rod is designed for certain fishing presentations. This is labeled a jig/worm rod and has a great jig/worm action.Extra line guides make it very sensitive. Some spinning rods do not hold the reel securely. This rod does.Lightweight and easy to use.Highly reccomended. Rated 3 out of 5 by Eddie Miller Broken tip My son used the rod and the first time he caught a fish it broke the tip on the rod. We took it back to the store in Newnan, Georgia and they replaced the rod with no questions asked. We did make the 2 rod purchase and got the other one free but we had not had time to go back fish to check the other rods out. Hopefully they will work when we try themout again. My fifteen year thinks he his Skeet Reese. We also purchased the spinning reel and one baitcaster reel and a tackle carrier so we have a lot of money tied up now. This was for his Birthday present and a Father's Day gift. July 12, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perinski Unparalleled sensitivity! I bought this rod as my hands are like leather after 25 years as a Professional mechanic and I miss a lot of soft strikes on most rods. I don't have that problem with this one! I can feel every variation of the bottom structure or anything in between. I haven't used many rods that are as "soft" as this is, but I quickly learned that a soft rod is essential to landing lightly hooked fish! I am so impressed with this rod I already have replaced my cranking rod with one of these, and probably will add at least one more down the road. If anything, I have a few "other" high dollar rods for sale now, as this is the best bang for the buck I have come across in a long time! April 18, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by DP Great Finesse rod Very soft touch. Great for finesse worming. Too soft for a hard strike if too much line is out. Wonderful feel to the rod. December 28, 2010
