Wright & McGill baitcaster
I bought 2 of the baitcaster reels. One on-line the other from Dicks Store. The one I bought on-line work great . The one I bought at the store was a big rip. I didn't noticed until I got home it was a return or Demo . The sideplate was hard to remove and harder to replace ,you could clearly see that someone else had removed the plate and had a issue getting it back in place. I should have suspected a problem when I told the clerk all the paperwork in the box was gone and the baitcaster cover was on wrong plus the box was badly faded. I recommend this product if you get it on-line but not from Dick's store.

Quick let-down
I received the flyer in the mail for the Skeet Reese giveaway of the Victory reels if you purchase the Skeet Reese rod, well I went to Dicks during my lunch break expecting to get the same quality as the rod's, and was surprised at the poor quality of the victory baitcast reel. It felt cheap, and looked cheap, I took a few turns on the reel and it was noisy and the anti-reverse lagged and clunked when engaged. I was very disappointed by this actually amazed that it cost 80 bucks...should be more like 39.99. The spinning reel felt great and I will be getting the Senko/Shaky Head rod just to pair it with the Victory spinning reel even though it has that ugly logo on it,so I guess its not all bad, but they should be ashamed of that baitcast reel....just my opinion

Great Reel
Great Reel. Smooth casting. Doesn't make any noise like others say. Only downfall I have found is that the magnet adjuster requires the cover to be popped off. I have recommended this to others.

A Reel Worth The Money
I have fished with many baitcasters over the years and this reel is by far the easiest i've used.Whether your a beginner to bait casters or an experienced fisherman this reel is worth the money don't let the price fool you.

Amazing!!!
I'm an avid bass fisherman so you as you could imagine, I have many bait-casters. When I seen the price on this reel, I thought for sure it was a joke. 9 ball bearings (plus the anti-reverse) and a 7.0:1 gear ratio. I have to pay twice that for an Abu Garcia. Low and behold this thing is for reel! Smooth as ever and burns the fish in faster than you could imagine. I would recommend to anyone who bass fishes. This thing puts a new spin on bait-casters.

Solid Reel for a Solid Price
I use this reel almost exclusively on my friends boat trolling or with some kind of craink/swim bait due to the enormous 7'6" rod I cast the stuff from. It's just too difficult to fish from the shore with that large of a rod due to brush or trees, etc. As for the reel, I couldn't ask for a better product. I have used pinnacle and Abu Garcia casting reels before and have always come across some kind of problem, usually due to drag tension. The Victory baitcaster has no need to adjust the spool tension or brake for almost any lure or bait making the use of the reel SUPER EASY! By no means should you not check for proper tension and brake settings, but we all have days when we change bait frequently and you could easily go all day without tinkering with it. The paint is a little fickle if you don't keep your tackle prestine, but it does come with a neoprene cover which helps a lot (perfect hindsite). At first the paddles may seem big, but once you get used to them the smoothness of the reel and power behind the retrieve is excelent (7.0:1). When it comes to baitcaster reels, I usually look like a Bill Dance blooper reel and with the Victory baitcaster I look like a young Skeet Reese (No backlash/birdnests). If you are looking for something easy to start with or something that's reliable grab the Skeet Reese Victory baitcaster with the S.R. honeycomb rod to complete the combo.

Well made
Built with the fishermans needs in mind , this reel is like butter in your hands. The way it casts and retrives would be hard to beat using the right rod.
