Rated 5 out of 5 by Sucram Great Glvoe! I bought this glove for my son last year when he turned 7. His model number is GPP1001. It is the same as this which is a GPP1002 but a newer model. He is now 8 years old and is 4'-4" tall. This glove still fits his hand. He is wicked quick with it as it is light and very managable. He has developed "soft hands" when it comes to fielding using this glove. I bought him an 11" Easton a couple months ago thinking that he was ready for a "better" glove with more leather on it. Big mistake. He can catch with it but he just can't get as quick with it. I am trying to figure out when to get him the Mizuno 10.75" model but I am in no hurry. When sizing the glove, I would go by the height of the player. And for this glove, you can safely get it for a kid 4' tall and possibly up to 4'-6" and up to 70 lbs. July 21, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by nydad great glove This is my son's second baseball glove. He's starting U9 this year but wanted to stick with a smaller size glove to play the infield. The leather is very subtle with little to no break in time necessary. The pocket is forgiving and deep, making it unlikely for the ball to pop out if caught correctly. April 23, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by robbierobbie Great glove at average cost This is a good starter glove for my 5 year old. He is starting to play because his 7 year old brother is also playing. Good glove average price, hoping that it will last 2-3 seasons April 24, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Rich - MPBL Nice perk I have always dreaded buying a new mitt because of how much work it was to break in but the steaming machine that was used to steam my son's new Mizuno's glove was awesome and saved me and my son a ton of work. April 2, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by baseballdad Good upgrade from the 9" version We had the 9" Prospect from the time my son was about 4. He played 4 seasons with it and he did great with it. He just turned 6 and this was a nice upgrade is size without being too large. He controls it well, and appears to be well made. Although it flexes well, I personally still use glove cream to soften it and break it in further. It works for me. I would purchase again. February 22, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by motherof4yrold Excellent glove for the money This glove is a great product. I would highly recommend it for first time ball players. The softer leather made it easier for catching the ball. The quality seemed great as well. March 16, 2015
