Minn Kota Endura C2 Freshwater Transom Mount Trolling Motors 4.3 5 89 89
Good product Bought trolling motor to power my 12 foot jon boat and it performed as expected. It did an adequate job, no more, no less. I received a good price with a 20% discount on product. Was not told the discount was due to the fact that it was a returned item previously purchased & returned earlier this year. November 11, 2014
So far, so good... Have only gotten out on the water twice. Motor is very quiet, especially from 1 to 3. I agree with the other reviews I read: BIG difference from 4 to 5! Four moves you along at a decent clip, but hold on as five is like a turbo boost! First time I tried it I wasn't ready, but after a couple of times you get used to it. Reverse is almost non-descript unless you use the highest speed. Had to "beef up" the transom on my 10' jon boat as clamp screws remain a little too high when tightening. All in all, it seems like a decent motor and if it holds up like my old Motorguide Stealth 300, then I'll feel like I got my money's worth! October 13, 2014
working fine it's too early to give a review since I have only had it a month and used it a couple times. When I have had it for 5 years I will begin to be able to give a better review. A few things I can say...I like the lift mechanism better than my Minn Kota which I had for 15 years; It runs quieter which is why I bought it. October 11, 2014
Why 55 lbs of thrust is more than enough for a 17 foot canoe or, "How I hydroplaned across Lake Lanier". I bought my second canoe last year, complete with a small trolling motor. It was a great deal but I quickly realized that I needed more 'umph' if I was to achieve my goal of navigating all the tributaries of Lake Lanier's northern shores. After spending some time in my son's flatboat up in Maryland using a 35 lb thrust motor I took a chance and listened to the sales associate at Dicks in Gainesville, GA. He said that 55 lbs was about all I could handle. He was right. This motor's capabilities flirt with the upper limits of my navigational skills but it is also very forgiving as it responds easily to a twist of the throttle. I like the extendable throttle handle and the fact that the prop extension will 'give' upon hitting an obstacle. It's also very quiet, even as I go at high speed through the channels between Six Mile and Two Mile Creek. I love it, the motor that is. It's a tad heavy for my application but by merely redistributing the weight in the canoe I have a pretty stable platform. September 4, 2014
Minn Kota Endura C2 55 lb thrust I purchased this product to replace a MotorGuide with 50 lb. thrust. I use it on a bass boat to fish on a 50 acre lake that does not allow outboard motors. It does a good job of moving this heavier boat even at speeds 1-3. I had to run my old MotorGuide at speed 5 to move to my liking. Like other trolling motors I have owned, the reverse speeds do not work so well. However I simply rotate the motor 180 degrees and use the forward speeds to move backwards. September 2, 2014
55lb minn kota I bought the 55lb minn kota and used it on the river and noticed a small shaking only in forward and not in reverse. then a ticking in the motor area started. I used it the rest of the day with no improvement. The power was very good I was able to go up rough water very well. reverse is a little weak but forward is strong. I returned it and got another one with no issues. I was quit and smooth overall its a good motor for trolling up fast rivers. August 28, 2014
Great Bang for the buck! Purchased this to push my 16 foot Day Sailer away from the dock and such... This motor has plenty of thrust to push that boat quickly and swiftly! Very Satisfied! August 20, 2014
Very strong motor Moves 17 ft fishing boat very well. And very quick and easy to set up and use August 12, 2014
reverse problems My new c2 kicks butt in all forward gears. It cuts through those Florida Lillypads with no problem and sneaks up on fish in the deep cover. Big problem though. Reverse is seemingly non existent. Regardless of the speed used it barely moves my 8 ft Sun Dolphin even if I'm by my self...Does anyone else have that problem also? If so I would love to hear if there is a solution. I'm not a rookie as I have had this boat with a Motorguide for over 20 years with no problem. Any help is appreciated. Overall great motor though! Great little motor Just purchased and used for 4 hours but this motor is pushing my 12 foot jon boat at just the right speed for my wife and grandchild cruising the lake. August 5, 2014
