Rated 2.2 out of 5 by 40 reviewers.
Rated 1 out of 5 by DOA I only use this bat to get a base hit. It's an excellent bat for a 150' hit if that's all you're looking for. I normally hit around the 280' mark. A good swing and connection with this bat makes you feel like you can't really hit the ball anymore. September 10, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by i dont no what people are talkin about when they say this bat sucks because it ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS BAT IS AWESUM!!!! it hits really well and does not vibrate at all even if you hit the ball on the handle . Hita feel really solid too. graet bat August 10, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by It's OK Purchased at the beginning of the 2012 season and by the middle of this year (2013) it was curved at the handle...regardless of rotating it every at-bat...and dented up quite a bit. I only play on Friday nights and I'm the only one who uses it. I would think this would be a great value for youths and anyone else who's not up there to smash balls out of the park on every pitch. I bought it not wanting to spend an arm and a leg on a bat just to play one night a week for a couple weeks out of the summer but it appears that you really do get what you pay for on this one. I should have taken advantage of the warranty but I would be facing the same thing next year so I switched to a different bat. July 29, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Bent bat The bat was used for one practice session and at the end bat was bent. Poor quality. July 23, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Thumbs down The bat just didnt come out like I thought it would be. A bit over priced more than ne thing. July 8, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by So Far So Good First bat I've ever purchased, I'm enjoying what this bat has to offer. Im using it during summer league softball. So Far So Good!!!! July 2, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by I suppose wi will suffice for those with slow swing-speeds Yes, this bat is inexpensive, but that doesn't mean it's a good value. I currently am in a co rec softball league and we have two of these bats. I use them because they're my only option as the bat i own is not allowed in co rec leagues. I haven't noticed any dents or bends with this bat, but I honestly haven't done more than glance at the thing as I pick it up and head to the plate. It is very possible that the bats on our team are dented, but I cannot say that with any true certainty. What I do know, however, is that the ball does not carry well at all off of this bat. I am 6' 2" 215lbs and am capable of homerun power. I've played baseball for over 20 years and I can tell when I really connect with the ball. On several occasions, with this bat, I have really put a nice swing on the ball and it simply just doesn't carry. I understand that the Easton Cyclone is a simply constructed single piece, single wall alloy bat and it isn't supposed to perform as well as the more expensive multi-layered barrel/composite bats I'm accustomed to, but this bat doesn't perform well even for its type (I am also familiar with noncomposite bats as well). If you're playing in a league that allows composite bats with multi-layered barrel walls, do yourself a favor and buy one of those. Yes, it will cost you more than $40, but if you search around online, you can find them at a reasonable price and you will likely be much happier with your purchase. You would also be buying yourself a much more durable bat that will far outperform this bat. If you are in a co rec league or a league that enforces strict bat rules, I still would not recommend this bat. Even if it doesn't bend or dent on you like so many others have said it inevitably will, it's still a dud when it comes to hitting the ball hard. Dont fret though. there are still some pretty decent single wall non-composite bats out there that can purchased for under $100 online. The Easton Reflex and Demarini Ultimate Weapon are perfect examples. You will find good user reviews with both of these bats. They both also carry a price tag under $100 online. I will say, however, that if you are in a VERY casual league or your team is made up of mostly beginners this bat may be just for you. I think that if you don't expect much of yourself or your team at the plate and you just need a team bat so you can at least get a team started then why not pick up this bat? In a nutshell, I would only recommend this bat for players with SLOWER swing speeds I.e youth, players, females (no offense ladies), or beginners.Stronger players with faster swing speeds who expect to hit the ball not just far but hard in general should stay away from this one. If you don't damage this bat, you will still not be happy with the "pop" it provides. Easton is still a good reputable company. They just missed the mark with this one. Perhaps they should have marketed it as a beginners bat. Nonetheless, it is what it is.... a subpar softball bat. June 12, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Junk This bat held up for two practices. After less than 80 hit balls the bat bent at the top of the handle about 4 degrees putting the end of the bat about an inch and a half off center. Complete waste of money. May 30, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Terrible Bat The bat dented during my first practice and the etire bat warped during our first game May 14, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Don't waste your money! Don't waste your money on this bat! I hit maybe 10 softballs (playing slow pitch) with this bat and what happened? It dented. If you buy this bat, you might as well go to your toilet, pull out $50 and just flush it down the toilet. April 24, 2013
