warm socks
My husband likes the smartwool socks. They are warm and comfortable.
The negative of the minis is that they are too low and slip down inside his
hiking boots. Get the taller socks.

great sock
I was complaining to a friend about my cold feet and he told me about these.. WOW what a difference, warm dry feet even with my running shoes on.

Great Socks, well worth the money
I wear only Smart Wool socks. My feet tend to either sweat or be too cold so I purchased a pair of these to just try. After wearing them for a couple of weeks through a rotation, I purchased 7 more pairs. I wear them 7 days a week, no matter what the temperature is outside. Today it's -20 with the windchill, and I am wearing them with my Keen winter boots, and my feet are nice and warm. I also wear them with my Bogs 1000 Gram insulated hunting boots, and my feet stay nice and dry and warm! These are great all around socks, highly recommend them!!

Good fit
Great fit. Snug, but not so much that it feels like it's crowding your toes like some other athaletic socks I own. Good for a hike/trail run and also good in the gym or worn casually. I do feel like smartwool socks used to last longer, though.

My feet felt great.
Haven't been hiking in many years. Felt good pair of socks would be good investment. It sure was. Feet were comfortable and felt great.

Smartwoll quality, but....
I LOVE Smartwool products...however.... this sock is too thin to be called a hiking sock. It is comfortable, but I had to wear two pairs of socks to keep it from rubbing on our 23 mile 3 day hike. I will probably stick to my regular weight Smartwool socks for future hikes.

Love these socks!!!
I use them for outdoor running and indoor/outdoor cross training. They are ideal for outdoor cold temps, have great cushioning, super soft (like running on air) and never "quit" on you:) Can't find any faults with this sock and haven't had them long enough to judge durablility. Sizing is very particular and had to try them on first.

Very nice socks
I love that these sock come in Medium. They fit my size 8 feet perfectly. They are snug and comfortable. Plenty of cushion, and warm, but something about wool... it seems to keep my feet almost completely dry, from perspiration. So, I love these socks. Pricey, but, I'm worth it.
