This was my first lacrosse stick ever and I only really bought it becuase it was purple and I didn't know what to look for since I had never played before. It's not great for catching at all because the head is very shallow. The butt of the stick comes off easily too. It's good to scoop with but it took me about a year to get used to this stick. If you are a begginner don't start with this stick!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Emma depends on your effort to break it in
This stick is great for groundballs because the head easily scoops up the ball. The bad things about this stick is that the shaft is way to slippery and there is no grip. Also, the head is strung way too tight and it takes a lot of effort to break it in. its very hard to break it in and catching and cradling is very hard when the strings are tight. Took about a month or two to wear it in so that the ball wouldn't fall out too much.

I started playing and i could not catch the ball, because the netting was to tight. And when i was passing to her she noticed to. But she said i JUST HAD TO LOSEN THE NETTING so don't bother buying another stick save time and money this one.

My daughter is 12 and has been playing for 4 years. She had to loosen the webbing and break it in, but now she loves the stick. I'd say it is a good choice for the price.

I got this stick as a begginner. I have read the reveiws and I can not believe some of them. The strings are perfect and you can catch the ball, it does not fall out, if it does you just need to learn to use it correctly. I think that the stick is nice and light weight. I would recomend this to a begginner or someone who just likes to have fun playing lacrosse in their backyard!

This stick is great for beginners! Much better than the $20 beginner sticks. I like this shaft a lot too. When you become a more advanced player, a different stick may be better but if you are new to lacrosse this is the stick to go with!

I got this stick when I was a beginner, and found it very hard to manage. The pocket is very shallow, and the strings are too stiff to make it deeper (they do not break in at all). I found that the ball would fall out when I tried to cradle, and especially when I was checked. I would not recommend this unless you can control a stick with a shallow pocket. Also, the shaft is almost round, so gripping the stick is not easy when it's cold/rainy. Release is quite fast with the stick though, because the pocket isn't deep. If you're looking to stay with Brine, and want a deeper pocket, try the Epic II.

The strings are too tight! I've been playing with it for a month and it just won't break in. Going back to my old STX stick..
