Not so good
I was getting my kayak ready and it fell from about 4 ft and one of the latches broke off.

Great for light kayaks
I've used this product many times in both freshwater and saltwater. It has saved my bacon and enabled me to catch large fish in conditions where the wind or current would have carried me over an area and spooked the fish.
The light-weight yet durable construction makes this ideal for holding a kayak in light to moderate wind or current conditions with a sandy bottom and in any conditions with a more firm or rocky bottom.
Using an anchor trolley system in connection with this anchor can enable you to face in any direction without pulling up your anchor.

Good product
I use this anchor for kayak fishing and it has excellent holding power for its weight. It is compact and easy to store in a small space.

Grappling Anchor
The anchor that I purchased works well. It was purchases to use with a fishing kayak and functions as indicated. I am thinking of purchasing another for my canoe.

Used product to make a jerk string anchor for duck hunting. Anchor was very strong and worked perfectly.

Grappling Anchor Review
Light weight, easy to store. Would suggest upgrading to 3lb model if you plan to be in moving current or tides.

Hooks Great
Just what I wanted for light kayak.Hooks so good Ive come close to having to cut the line on several occasions...had to paddle against it to free it. It also nearly pulled me over twice when it hooked up with me sideways to it. My only complaint is the lock ring could be a little tighter,,,so I gave it a 4.
