Rated 3.4 out of 5 by 34 reviewers.
Rated 3 out of 5 by Terrible instructions, unit works great There are far better instructions available online than the ones shipped with this unit. Took me a hour of messing around to get the Sigma Sport Base 1200 installed on my bike, in the correct language, with MPH, clock set etc... There are easier units to setup but this computer will be just fine. Does all that you need and then some for under thirty bucks. April 12, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by The user manual is horrible! The manuals that come with the computer have pages upon pages upon pages of unnecessary info written, line by line, in about 10 different languages. At the same time, the most important setup info (which is actually not that complicated), seems non-existant. Very unnecessarily frustrating for a first timer. August 4, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Setting up the 1200 I've noticed that many of you are having trouble with this Computer... It is important to make sure you have "ALL" the setting correct. REcheck tire sizes to read Imperial not metric. You have to choose Imperial from the tire size chart and Imperial on the computer settings. this is easy to confuse. I did ! once you get it right It works perfect. July 7, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Works Great I bought this computer to help me start training. I usually ride on the Silver Comet Trail near Atlanta, GA. I have noticed that over a 30 mile ride as indicated by the trail, my computer shows about 31 miles. For those who might train more seriously than me, this might be a deal breaker. For me it works great though, and I really like the extra functions such as top speed and temperature. The owners manual is not very user friendly however, and the reset button is on the back, not the front. June 26, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Does the job This one was purchased last minute because my previous sigma died the day before a bike trip. The previous one had mph to the 1/10 of mph, this one only to the .5 mph. I'm not sure that it matters, but it is annoying to speed up slightly and not have your bike reflect that. My biggest complaints are two: 1) the manual is hard to read and hard to use. The chart for tire sizes is pages away from the set instructions 2) the trip reset has be used for each function, distance, average, time, max etc. Yup, you have to reset each of them each day I did like the water resistant feature of it, it only rained at night - but the next morning, it worked a-okay August 12, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by sigma bike computer i have the tire size properly set and it is not accurate. only reads about 1/2 the mile's you travel June 26, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good value for the non-competitive rider. As an urban/neighborhood cyclist the 1200 meets all of my needs. I tried the wireless 1200 Plus and had line-of-sight issues with the placement and so exchanged it for this wired model. Worked flawlessly the first time and have had no problems since. The exposed wire doesn't bother me at all. November 8, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Bike computer Could not program anything except the time returned the product for a refund. September 2, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by wonderful affordable cycling computer Easy to install. The direction booklet provided is difficult to follow for.programming. easy to google and program. Computer very accurate and easy to read June 24, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Don't judge the product by the packaging The computer does not set by the book that was included with the product! We have tried to set the computer by the numbers in the book, all the ways suggested. It is too fast and has been checked by others computers that we know are right. Just doesn't work well. Wouldn't buy another like it!!! Wouldn't recommend it to anyone.. January 24, 2011
