Rated 5 out of 5 by Hurricane 8' redbone Spinning Rod - Fully Recommend! I had an 8' Redbone rod before but it was snatched from the boat. Looked all over locally and was unable to find another. Found this Hurricane 8' Redbone MH Spinning Rod online at Dick's. Was concerned about purchasing a rod and having it sent through the mail. It all went well. Shipping notification was sent the next day, rod arrived with no damage and within 5 days. I have had quite a few fishing rods over the years but the Hurricane redbone is the best. I like the 8' because of the feel, the balance and the weight of the rod. The tip is sensitive, it's great for casting and it is able to handle fish small and big. The first fish caught on this new rod was a 3 1/2' Tiger Shark. Good fight, rod bent into the water but did not fail. Old Redbone rod caught even bigger fish. Fully recommend, you won't be sorry. Get a nice 3000 or 4000 reel to go with it. I use a 3000. September 4, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by reliable rod!! I have this rod with Spinfisher 4500 20lb PP.caught two 20 pounder Tripletail last weekend with no problem. April 24, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Rod for the Price!!! Love the feel and action of this rod... used it to throw gotchas off the pier... didn't hook unto any fish, but gotchas ran great!!! April 23, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Junk!!! I bought the heavy action rod about three weeks ago. Since the initial purchase three weeks ago, I have broken two rods. Dicks was wonderful and exchanged the first broken rod for me. These may be some great rods in the lower weight actions, but I do not recommend the heavy action. A quick Google search shows this is a common issue with this rod, in the heavy action. Hopefully Dicks will refund my purchase price so I can get a higher quality rod. April 20, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Redbone fishing rod This rod is definitely worth the money. It will handle any fish inshore from red's, snook, trout and even an 8 pound yellow fin jack. Just an awesome piece of equipment. February 26, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great rod for the price The rod was very lightweight which is great especially when carrying a few rods at the same time. Was useful and I would buy another one at this sale price. November 5, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Rod I like a seven foot rod. Rod is very light weight, has solid guides and the butt lenght is a great for making long cast. Rod is alittle stiff for me, I fish only mono and mostly 8# test. Will fish rod with 8# test for puppy drum. September 4, 2013
