Rated 5 out of 5 by kupo Great Rain jacket The Marmot Precip is the best rain jacket that i have ever used. Besides the awesome waterproofing in a light weight, the bright colors are fun. Super jacket for going for hiking out in the rain. November 15, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by ALBinSLC Not Quite Right I'm 5'6", 110 pounds. Loved everything about the fit and styling of the PreCip. However, I thought the "Cloud" color would be more like a light grey than a somewhat yellow off-white. It felt like it had no breathability which would probably be great in a downpour, but I wanted a very lightweight jacket for just an occasional rain or cool, windy days. As described by other reviewers, the fabric was a bit too noisy. I echanged the PreCip for the Boundary which was better for my purposes. July 19, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by sporty1 Great Value My husband and daughter have Marmot rain jackets and love them! I bought this in the store and got a great deal on it, I even got a color I wanted! I have yet to wear this is in a hard rain, but it's very warm considering there isn't a lining in it. I wore it in a light rain across the parking lot from work to my truck and it kept me dry. I bought a M and usually wear a L in jackets but this fits perfectly! It has a nice hood too. I'm looking forward to many years of good wear from this rain jacket. July 2, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by StephPDX Absolutely Excellent: Best Purchase! This is a beautiful jacket that is very waterproof and surprisingly warm when layered. I love the bright color, which stands out on a rainy day. I wear this all the time and love it. I am generally a small or medium in sweaters, and the small fits me fine with room for a heavy sweater. Rated 5 out of 5 by Patti Was I really out in the wind and rain? Just came back from my walk through wind and rain (remnants of Frankenstorm) and I am toasty warm and dry. So much better then being drenched, cold and cranky. I got the bright lime green which is perfect for walking the country roads, really makes you visible to the cars passing. Just hung the jacket up to drip dry and I'll be ready for another outing tomorrow. I love it. October 30, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ayers1 Awesome!! I was caught in a heavy rainstorm and stayed dry and comfy! Great jacket; it does run smallish. I ordered the large when I normally wear a medium. Folds up tiny. This is a great product! March 14, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by cdmom Love It! Great Jacket! Super lightweight, true to size, and comfortable. Husband has one in Mens and loves it too! Can't beat this jacket for the cost! January 29, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Mary Excellent and high quality lightweight jacket for keeping precipitation out I purchased this jacket after being assured that it's the best bang-for-your-buck when it comes to waterproof shells. While I don't have a lot of experience with outdoor gear yet, I can heartily recommend this to anyone who wants to get started in the outdoors and needs to get a good jacket that keeps wind and rain out on a budget. I can't believe how effective this jacket is for how lightweight it is. It's really easy to pack and since I got it I haven't worn my heavy winter coat anywhere; I just layer this over a fleece and it keeps me warmer than my hefty peacoat. I was mainly expecting to use it for hiking, but I use it now for everyday wear as well. If you can get it on sale like I did (the retail price is just about $100), it's an even greater bargain!
