Great Rain jacket
The Marmot Precip is the best rain jacket that i have ever used. Besides the awesome waterproofing in a light weight, the bright colors are fun. Super jacket for going for hiking out in the rain.

Noisy Rain Jacket
I bought the Women's Marmot PreClp Jacket because I liked the tailored fit of it, but I ultimately had to return it because it was so noisy. It "crackled" whenever I moved, and the sound was very distracting and annoying. I never removed the tags nor wore it outside so I cannot speak to its waterproofness, but I would assume it is. I ended up buying a nylon Columbia rain jacket at Dick's. It's not only attractive and much quieter, but less expensive than the Marmot.

Was I really out in the wind and rain?
Just came back from my walk through wind and rain (remnants of Frankenstorm) and I am toasty warm and dry. So much better then being drenched, cold and cranky. I got the bright lime green which is perfect for walking the country roads, really makes you visible to the cars passing. Just hung the jacket up to drip dry and I'll be ready for another outing tomorrow. I love it.

Great wind and rain protection.
Light and easy to pack. I was hiking in Canada with variable weather temps and it did it's job in all situations.

Great Jacket
Wore it recently when on trip to Oregon. It rained so I could wear the new jacket. It worked well and is stylish too!
