KEEN Men's Targhee II Mid Waterproof Hiking Boots 4.5 5 74 74
hiking boots i bought a pair of these boots and with in the first month they were great..but by month 3 they was coming apart ..the tread was coming apart from the boots ..i will never buy a pair of keens again.i will stick with the merrells..they lasted through three years of hard core camping..lol thanks December 18, 2014
Very comfortable boot This boot has a good arch support and the cinch strap system allows the boot to be worn very snug or very loose. November 16, 2014
Keen Targhee II Great quality and durable. This is my 4th pair. I normally wear wide. These fit well. I have purchased both in store and online. Both ways good service. SEM, Butler,PA September 11, 2014
Super shoes Been reading a lot about keen shoes and so far meet my exlecations. Switched from a leading competitor and prob will not look back March 3, 2014
Love these boots First, these are one of the best pairs of hiking boots I have had. They fit perfect and the balance when you walk is directly center line. They also fit well in the toes, they are wider than most and that is what I needed because of a wide flat foot (with corrected insoles) and past foot surgery. Now, this is the 2nd pair I have had in a month because the first pair (bought at a Dicks store) had the back heel area blow out. I brought them back to the store, they gave me a store credit since they didn't have any more in my size. I ordered them on the website, with free delivery, but they were $10 more on the web than in store. I ended up using points to balance that amount. We will see how the boot holds up, I have never heard of a boot heel blowing out like that so hopefully it was random. February 21, 2014
most comfortable boots. These boots provide comfort and support all day long especially working in the automotive industry/ repair shop. I would recommend to friends and family. Only downfall is a bit pricey for the boots but worth it. February 5, 2014
quality control, materials or design issues? I've had 3 pairs of Targhees.... two purchased and one replacement from Keen over a 3 year period. Same and continuing problem with all of them. My biggest headache with Keen has been continual tread separation. Glue starts to fail within about 100-200 miles on rocky Colorado trails. Waterproofing is fair at best. Stitching has failed in several spots. Keen has replaced them with no problems but the replacement pair which was the same size as the original are too small/tight [the agent told me that they had had a 'bad batch' from China if you buy that]. Sizing is problematic and the shoe MUST be tried on at the store instead of ordering 'your size' as they do run small. That said.... it is one of the most comfortable and lightweight boots I've ever owned bar none... and if you are looking for a stylish boot to wear while crawling through shopping malls I give them 5 stars. For rough use I've since switched to HiTec Altitude IV [sadly, it isn't carried by Dicks and they should consider adding them or replacing the Timberland brand]. I've used Merrill and several other brands, but IMO for the value, the HiTec mid ankle is a less expensive shoe although heavier than the Keen, but has equally excellent support and comfort and with superior durability, wear, and waterproofing. very good product! Extremely comfortable product, only negative is I expected them to be a little warmer. I would definitely buy this product again! January 20, 2014
A GREAT boot to wear everyday year round! I hike and walk a lot. I have what you call a duck foot....."wide". These KEENS are my 2nd pair.(Wore the first pair out) BEST all around boot I have ever had. Even went back and bought a work boot. I wear them every day...even on Sunday! Very comfortable! Keen has a variety of boots for everyone...Give them a try, I do believe you will love them! January 5, 2014
No good I bought these shoes for work because I wash aircraft parts and I needed some shoes to keep my feet dry. I don't get my feet completely drenched at work but some water does splash on them. after washing my first part I noticed the tops of my feet felt wet. I removed my shoe and felt inside, and sure enough, water had leaked through the membrane that was supposed to be " waterproof guaranteed". I continued to wear them a second day even though I was greatly disappointed and after I got home I noticed the laces had come untied. then I discovered why..the plastic clasp on the outside of the upper had completely broken off! I'm sure it caught on something and broke at work. but I took them back and at least Dick's let me Exchange them for some Merrell's. They are waterproof and have a metal riveted clasp. if you are using these shoes for anything rugged or involving water( for which Keen is intended to be) I would suggest Merrell, or anything besides Keen, I was greatly disappointed.
