great tool......... Do not know ''how'' it works... just know that it ''does'' work.... .need just one or two "max" swipes each time you need the extra edge... will add weeks between regular sharpenings. Just be sure to follow directions and do not pass the edge more than two times and do not put too much presure or they get ''too'' sharp!!!!!!!!! April 16, 2013

Works well but breaks easily. The product works well for sharpening skates and kept them sharp for a good amount of time. However, the third time I used the Blade Tool one of the two prongs broke off. January 22, 2013
