Broken Snapshot Purchased the Quantum Snapshot and it lasted for about twenty or so cast. The cheap plastic trigger broke. I could see where it was held by some glue and a screw but the trigger snapped in half. The reel is really good so just buy it without the snapshot. See my review in the video provided. May 27, 2013
Fishing reel The reel is a very good price and a very solid build but the weird line release mechanism on it just gets in the way of everything and usually tangles up the line. March 26, 2013
One snap, two snaps, no snap! Let me start by saying I have owned many reels in my lifetime as a fisherman since I cound stand on my own 2 feet. I use an older Quantum SS 1 and a Quantum SS10 for my lightweight tackle for trout, small bass, etc. The reason for buying this Quantum SS 20 snapshot was due to my other triggers wearing out, after much usage. When I opened this reel from Dick's this evening, I was highly disappointed. More plastic components than previous models and the red rubberized trigger broke after two, yes two tries. I have not even loaded line on the reel. The rubberized trigger would be a nice touch during freezing temperature trout fishing missions, but, it broke off under my finger. I will be returning this to a local Dick's tomorrow. It looks nice in the pictures, but DO NOT waste your money until they have fixed the trigger issue. December 12, 2012
Not good quality after the 5th or 6th cast the screw that holds the Bail arm on just fell out. Without the bail arm attached this reel is totally useless. Would have returned it but did not save packaging. September 7, 2012
Jaming This real tends to jam often with every size and wieght of lure or line. If you want a reel that is very high maitnence, well here you go. August 24, 2012

WILL RETURN FOR REFUND Very poor design. Did not cast properly more than 50% of the time. The bail would hit my fingers and did not reset all of the time either. Worst reel I have ever used. July 23, 2012
Quantum snapshot series I purchased this reel to use for medium sized fish,love the "trigger" action it actually holds the line for you like a closed face reel and casts long distances I use it with lures on a medium action rod.....things that are great is the design of the reel the not so great is the fact it is not made in the USA....Dicks has a GREAT price on it as well! 3rd I have bought It is less wear and tear on my index finger/first joint, especially with the heavier lures and braid lines. The first one I bought is still going after many years, second I bought last year and like, just got an identical one. Never had a problem with this design, wish they gave a second spool as they did with the first. June 4, 2012
