sweet for the price
bought it and loved it, only thing that happened was i lost the crank nut into a channel, dicks spotted me a new one. zero complaints lake, shore, river, and boat fishing, quick to fire off and easy to get the hang of, moved onto mostly Penn reels when i just grew out of what i expect is it's threshold, still keep it spooled for friends and family, nice breakout combo for anyone coming from spincasters

Good in theory
Bought for my wife who was nervous about making the swith to an open reel. The trigger is a neat idea and she likes hers. I bought one for myself too but my trigger broke on the 3rd outing. Hers is still going strong. I chalk it up to more gadgets, more things to break.

Seemed like a great pole till....
I used the pole once and it was awesome. I liked the way it cast. The very next morning we went fishing again. I cast out and my reel fell apart. I lost the tiny screws so I had to sit there while my friends fished. It was disappointing. The next time I buy a pole with a reel I will check everything to make sure it's all tight. Hopefully Dick's will let me exchange it.

I would by this product again
I puchased this product for my 16 year old son and he has increased his productivity with it. Its snap shot feature allows him to cover more water will make more frequent cast.

Made Very Cheaply
I bought this combo because my dad has an old one that I liked very well. I got it home and got ready to put some line on it and noticed that the peice that throws the bail back was broken. I got to looking and realized that this reel was cheaply made and I am exchanging this thing for a second Shimano IX. Also I am dissapointed because i live 75 miles away from a Dicks Store and am going on a trip which this combo was intended to be used on but will not have time to get to a dicks store and replace the combo.
