I like it better if it were made in U.S. I Like the rod and reel but I had to put heavier line as it came with 12# test which I felt was light for a med-heavy duty rod. Good thing I did because first time out I landed 3 red fish in excess of 30". Rod, reel and drag did great. September 2, 2012
Cheap but very liable Couldn't go wrong with this combo, especially for the money spent. Our family bought 4 of them and haven't had any problems with any of them during the surf fishing we have done in 7 days. Really recommend this product for a spare cheaper combo. August 23, 2012
