Rated 4 out of 5 by Pretty good bar, I would say. Not an workout guru. My review would include the following. First, since I purchased mine, they did update the picture. Mine showed chrome clips not the plastic ones. To me, no big deal. I have noticed the angle is a lot more streamlined than other bars seem to be. Maybe someone with more knowledge can explain that. Overall, I would say a pretty good bar for the money. I would recommend this item for purchase. September 5, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good but not great I have been lifting for 10 years. This is the first bar that I found where the grip is very sharp and shaves your palm skin. When you lower the bar, sometimes the jagged grip will catch on your lower shirt or shorts. The angles are smaller than normal, closer to a straight bar. It is a well built and heavy duty rod but I am going to return mine since there are other bars in other stores. They might cost $10 or so more, but the ultra jagged grip really bothered me and roughed my palms. As far as the Dick's store, I wish they had an open piece on display like they do at Big 5. I don't go to Big 5 because its cluttered where Dick's is clean. August 19, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good bar for the money For the money you cannot go wrong with this bar. If there is a knock on it, it?s the angle of the handles are not enough as other have said but it really isn?t all that bad. I to was a bit concerned about the plastic clamps but they work perfectly. I would recommend this to anybody looking for a good value for a curl bar. August 2, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice bar for the price While picture shows metal collars, my bar came with plastic "muscle lever"-style collars. Despite my initial apprehension, they work well and I'm very happy with the bar and collars. If I had any suggestions for improvement, I would ask for a little more angle through the bends. Rated 5 out of 5 by Incredible deal, great quality I purchased this curl bar for my home gym. It is just like the curl bars I have used in gyms over the last decade. I have been very satisfied with the Fitness Gear brand. I also got the Fitness Gear olympic plate tree and 300lb olympic weight set. Fitness Gear has helped me achieve a long time goal of developing a home gym on a small budget. More than I ever expected for the price! June 26, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Curl bar What I like about the bar is the clamps that hold the weights on. They are made of plastic but easy and quick to use. Use just slide them on and turn handle They are locked. April 29, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Curl Bar The bar does what it advertises. it's a good value, and but the collars are heavy so you have to make sure you are adding the weights correctly. April 16, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great product!!! I purchased this item to replace the old one I was using. I like the plastic piece that holds the weights on much better than the grips on my old one. It is a great item. I would recommend this item. January 17, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not angled enough The angles on this bar killed my wrists. I've used many curl bars at many gyms with no problems. Curling with this is almost like curling with a straight bar. The grips are the roughest I've ever felt on any bar. If you don't normally wear gloves this bar may make you start. The ends are threaded even though its made for standard olympic plates. I'd never seen that feature before and it's pretty annoying when putting plates on and off. Overall, this is probably the worst piece of workout equipment I've ever used. You can find the same quality of bar for significantly cheaper elsewhere. January 12, 2014
