Found major flaw with shoe - but works well under some conditions The show works well in clear water and fine grain sand. Good for hiking on moderate terrain. Sand in FLA Keys contains a lot of small shell particles. Those come in through the water drain holes in the bottom of shoe and get trapped between the non-removable liner/shield (this is sown in) and the rubber sole. You can feel these small shell fragments through the removable liner and as you wash out the shoe to try to remove these (very difficult to get them to move through the drain holes), some of the shells get wedged into drain holes and ultimately clog the holes. There is no way to force them out with out penetrating the sown in liner shield. I have not found a better shoe as of yet - my previous ones were made by a company that no longer exists and these pale by comparison. I had those for 12 years and they worked well for rugged terrain as well as in water. Didn't have these kind of problems. I will keep searching for better shoe. April 4, 2013
Drain Maker does the Job I purchased these shoes for my son and myself for water rescue as members of our vol. fire dept. we needed shoes that would give good grip on the boat as well as grip on the slimy rocks and for protection of Zebra mussel shells. My son commented that the shoes feel good specially when swimming , as to the fact the shoes do not feel like they are weighting you down like traditional water shoes. plus the shoes do what they are designed, they drain the water out and are dry within a couple of hours. Good Job Columbia. August 26, 2012
great shoe! Very comfortable and true to size! August 14, 2012
I would recomend this shoe I WENT TO THE RIVER AND THEY DID GOOD ON THE ROCKS, MY FEET WERE DRY IN ABOUT AN HOUR AND A HALF. VERY COMFORTABLE. ALSO WORE AROUND TOWN AND THEY FEEL JUST LIKE GOOD RUNNING SHOES W/ SOCKS ON. IF YOU SEE THE COLUMBIA VIDEO, YOU CAN'T JUST SLIP THEM ON AND OFF LIKE IT SHOWS. UNLESS THEY ARE NOT LACED UP HALF WAY. AND I HATE MADE OVER SEAS! LETS MAKE THEM HERE GUYS! May 31, 2012
Great shoe I bought the shoes for float trip in Boise. Drained well and were very comfortable. Downside was color options. July 19, 2011
Seems good so far. Great fit. Light weight. I'm flat footed, so it's difficult to find a shoe Haven't paddled with these yet but they look like they will stay on well in the river and keep river stones out with the mesh. I dunked them in water to see how quickly they would dry. At room temperature they were dry the next day. April 26, 2011
