Product is perfect for purpose Hello our experience at Dicks has been great from online ordering to pick up in store. We use these weights for our displays. They carry them to my car every time and so courteous. We will continue to do all our buying at Dicks and for other items as well. October 29, 2014
Great Product These look like they would 'nest', but they do not. Neither a pro nor con, but observation. I own 8 of these, and every one has been within 1 lb of the advertised weight. These are smaller (diameter) than 'standard' sized plates, and that is a big reason I bought them. I have a 3/4" sheet of wood under a 3/4" stall mat on both sides of my power rack. That would raise the bar height for deadlifting by 1+1/2", but because these weights are smaller than standard, the bar is nearly at the correct height. The smaller-than-standard size is actually really great for this reason in my application. I do a lot of warm-up sets and change weights frequently during my warm-up. The handles make the plates easy to grab with one hand, and changing out plates is a bit easier for this reason. September 15, 2014
380mm instead of standar 450mm diameter Just as the title states. It is no problem when doing nearly any exercise except deadlifts. when doing deadlifts, it is like doing a 2.75 inch deficit eadlift. The plates are also flimsy on the fitness gear bar they came with, probably 1/8 or so inches too big. May 8, 2014
They are heavy 45# plates. Solid, heavy, and fit the bar. Everything I wanted, needed, and expected from the product. The "handles" are a nice design feature as well. March 18, 2014
easy to handle plate just as described , solid easy to use , shipped quickly,,very satisfied March 3, 2014
Good price. Not exact. This isn't the cheapest online price for grip iron plates. However, if you live near a Dick's store, see how much they are selling their 45 lb plates. Mine has them for $36, which is insanely cheap. You also get the added bonus of seeing the condition of these plates before you purchase, and not having to pay for shipping. Since these are not standardized plates, they have broader tolerances for their weights. I have six total of these, and they range from 44 to 46 pounds. I recommend weighing each one and writing in yellow or black paint or marker the actually weight so you can better load these on your bar for closer balance, and then switch sides during the exercise, if feasible.
