Rated 4 out of 5 by LoveShade13 OK for Starting out
Wanted to start doing speedbag, and after researching this was the cheapest way to start out. But reviews are correct on the bag, as it is already starting to fray at the seams. I am sure I will need to replace it with another. The platform is sturdy, but I think I am going to see wear and tear as well. But, I believe if you rotate the board it will even out the wear. For the price I still think it is a good value, but only buy if you are a beginner. Experienced speedbaggers will turn it into a pile of junk very quickly.

I wish they offered higher quality combos, but nonetheless, it is a good value for a starter.

Rated 3 out of 5 by mike jaimes not bad for the money
I purchased this item even after reading the reviews about the bag not lasting. I am impressed with the platform, pretty simple adjustment and easy to install. Speedbag itself didn't hold up to 2 days of pounding. I had to go and buy another one. After installing a better bag this thing is great! Now i love it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by RCR Great...for the price
I have had this product for over 2 years. I use it everyday as a warmup before working out. I have replaced everything but the board and the bars. This morning one of the bars broke, but for the $ I guess I can buy another one and use it for parts.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Pete Good for getting started
I had some extra cash and picked one of these kits up as we have not had one in the house before. For the price, you really can't go wrong. This will introduce you nicely to the speed bag and get you working out in very short order. As stated in other reviews, it does not come with mounting hardware, however it is set up to mount to studs spaced a standard 16" on center. A few large head sheetrock screws should do the trick. do not mount into sheetrock as sheetrock has never been designed for this kind of abuse. As a starter set, you may find that you need to tweek the setup in order to find what works best, as with almost any other piece of exercise equipment. Speed bags succumb to wear and tear, so expect to have to replace the bag sooner or later as you may quickly get up to speeds greater than 60 hits a minute. The gloves are bear bones gloves. I do not even use mine most of the time, nor the handwraps.

One thing that i didnt like was if for example i mounted it on drywall wall in my room and after like 5 mins of use it was coming out i would recomend if u purchase this bag to mount it on either metal or solid wood, but other than that its pretty good for the price

Rated 3 out of 5 by Soon enough the champion. It's okay but certainly not the best
The packaging wasn't that good. Every thing moved so easy inside. The metal bars that hold the board seemed to be a bit rusted. The board it self seem a bit scratched up. Might have been from the steel bars rubbing against it. The speed bag is okay. But doesn't hold d up to well I used it for one day and the threads seem to be peeling after one use. I can just imagine after a months use. I might have to end up buying another bag. Only reason I bought it was because I couldn't find the board anywhere else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Knockout This was exactly what I was looking for
I have it mounted in a dormer with cut 2 x 4's for support. I ended up buying a different pivit hook. It's easy to use. It became something the whole family uses.

good quality bag, but the platform is junk plywood, mine is only two weeks old and is already falling apart. Also it does not come with all the hardware for instillation. and nowhere that i could find online does it tell you that. i didn know untill i went to put it on the wall, and I had to go out and get the lag bolts.
