Rated 4 out of 5 by Worked well! We used this bike rack for a 900 mile round trip. One bike had a slanted bar and the other straight. My husband had to adjust the bike with the slanted bar so the weight of the bike was distributed evenly and it worked just fine. The bike with the straight bar was easier to fit into the rack. We drive a Grand Cherokee and this product did not damage our vehicle. We are happy with our purchase. June 14, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by HOLDING A BIKE OUT OF YOUR WINDOW WOULD WORK BETTER Probably one of my top 5 worst purchases I've ever made. Bought it for a 9 hour drive and I was worried the whole time that the bikes were going to fall off of the the rack. 2 brand new bikes are now completely scratched up. The holding mechanism is not secured on the rack bars and the bikes move around. This is truly a poorly designed piece of junk. July 8, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Does not fit mountain bikes with diagonal bars This rack does not fit bikes with diagonal bars. Meant only for bikes with straight tops. Waste of time. Will be returned. April 24, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by worth the price Not something I'd feel comfortable going long distances with, as it's a simple design without much padding or extra stability bars, but I followed the instructions and it is quite sturdy for nearby trails. August 5, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Works Well This rack is able to tote our two adult bikes around on the back of our Honda Fit. We've seen the same rack out on the road and it looks a little more secure on other cars. The top brace slides around a bit, but its absolutely due to the shape of the Fit. Highly recommend for cars, and some other hatchbacks. If you have a Fit, you may want to look into getting a hitch mount rack. June 18, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Value Easy to use and a good value for the product. Very stable on the road. June 11, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Poor design I picked this over a less expensive 2-bike rack because the design seemed simpler with fewer things to attach. Bad decision. I used the carrier to transport two bikes from my home to a nearby park. On the way there - despite using the tethers as instructed - the bike rack seemed to lose its position. I ended up with a bad scratch to my car's paint from one of the bikes. There seem to be some issues with this design. Since it has only one "arm" (as opposed to two) resting on the top of the trunk, I feel it is more susceptible to swaying. Also, there is a locking mechanism for the arms which is simple enough to lock and unlock, but the toothed design seems to prevent spreading the arms out in the optimal position. Overall, very disappointed with this purchase, did not expect Dick's to carry poorly designed products. Will probably go in for a hitch mounted carrier despite the expense. June 3, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Does not work for all biked My bike has a diagonal top bar and this rack will only fit well if the bar is straight across. The straps kept getting loose and my bike was not stable on the rack so I had to constantly pull over to readjust it. This will be returned. June 3, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Adequate for the price--annoying it doesn't work on all cars out of the box The rack does the job and works fine on most vehicles. We have a Honda CRV and there wasn't a place to hook the bottom straps. Instructions indicate an additional piece is needed. It's surprising/annoying that these "hatch huggers" aren't included in the box as a standard option. More annoying is that Dick's doesn't carry them and I had to turn to Amazon. June 3, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not Practical For Trunk Use I tried to use this product on my 2008 Honda Civic and it seemed that with the single point bar at the top of the unit made it sway. On a 5 mile trip reaching speeds up to 50 mph I had to stop and adjust it more than once. May work better for SUV with slanted hatch or a square back trunk verses a lid with slanted sides. I returned this product. May 22, 2014
