Bought this kayak seat at dicks on saturday me and my family where going kayaking sunday morning. When I woke up I went down to our dock to get everything ready. I put the seats on the kayaks and loaded them up with gear. We hopped in the car and headed to church. When we got back home just an hour later. I saw that this new seats backrest was completely deformed and misshapen the plastic in the back rest had melted the other seats were just fine . I brought it back to dicks and they gave me a full refund they were great. dont let this seat ruin your families kayak adventure spend the money and get a good seat.

Rated 3 out of 5 by cse not the best, but good based on price
I added this seat to my sit-on-top Perception Kick 9.5. It fits fine (straps on the back are a bit long, but work) and provides additional back support, which is what I was after. The seats folds in half completely which allows the bottom seat cushion to move around under you (its not connected in any way). This is the first seat I've purchased, so I can only compare to what I've seen in stores or shopping online... this seat was a great deal for around [$] and to get a better seat you have to dish out some significant $$... I was not ready to od that.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Ben Sturdy, comfortable, priced right
After shopping online for a new sit on top kayak seat and suffering sticker shock, I came across this item. The price is right and I have no complaints about quality or comfort. I primarily fish from my kayaks and this does not impede me in any way.

So far the seat seems pretty nice. The hardest part was figuring out how to install it, no instructions. After searching the web for awhile, I figured out the right way. It's pretty comfortable & has good back support. I was able to install it in a Pelican Burst, it's a must have for this kayak, they suck but it was free. The straps are pretty heavy duty & so are the buckles. But one thing I notice was some of the paint chip off the buckles the first time I used it. I got to watch that because I use it in salt water. I would buy it again, especially for the price.
