Don't bother.
The item isn't strong enough to hold a water bottle or soda can, but it does hold the sunglasses, so it wasn't a total waste of money,

I use this cup, can, bottle holder on my kayak. It fits securely on the rail and does exac tly what it is supposed to do.

Almost perfect fit
Fits the rim of my kayak's cockpit like they were made for each other. Holds soda bottles, standard bicycle water bottles and newer Nalgene bottles. Does not fit the older, larger diameter Nalgene bottles. I like it.

Finally found something I can use
Been looking for somethin to hold a water bottle or can of soda for a long time. Someone gave me this product as a gift....couldn't have been happier. It works well, tips a little, but don't have to hold can or bottle between my legs while I paddle the kayak. Liked it so much, bought it for a friend of mine. She likes it too.

Great product at a really good price!
Simple - it works, really really well. Its the only holder ive found that can hold itself up on my Pyranha Fusion kayak. Highly recommended!
