Matt has very good grip.
While doing yoga you need to have a survace that has a good grip.

Splurge for a better product
I went the cheap route thinking I may not use it that much or not be into yoga or stretching and it'll wind up sitting in a closet, why spend $50 on a fancy mat? Well for a little more $ you can get something thicker, softer and less abrasive to your skin and clothes. Doing planks or any move which requires your skin to come in contact with the mat is painful and the friction with my clothes is restricting.
Wish I ponied up a few extra $ and got something better.
