Good set but hard to set up
Good weight set but weight nuts were very difficult to get started.
One nut required filing and silicon to work.
Now that all nuts are on, a very nice set

Cheap, Reliable, Efficient
It is nice because it comes with the plates and had no missing or impaired parts when I got it. It is a little to rough on the grips once your hands start to sweat and the weight goes over 25lbs so I wear gloves when doing but other wise is comfortable.

Great product.
Works well with a set I already had. It's sturdy and well made.

Product is great!
I personally like this product because you don't need to buy more dumbbells every time you get stronger and need heavier weights. All you need to do is buy plates and add on. Also, it is cost effective to just buy plates rather than new set of dumbbells for different weights.

Not Exactly 40
I bought this set off line. None of the sets in the brick and mortar had the rubber grip shown in the image. The bars do not weigh exactly 4lbs though are closer to 3.5lbs. So the set is not exactly 40lbs. One bar's grip is rougher than the other's however this is not a problem, especially if you wear gloves at all which I do not. The gasket on the collars keep the plates in place, so far. It's a threaded dumbbell set; what do you really expect?

Would return them but packaging gone
These are good quality and compact to store as stated but... If you want to change weights in the middle of a work out you have to stop and unscrew the end caps, add or remove weights, and then re-attach the end caps. Not a huge deal but it takes time in the middle of a work out and slows things down. Buying a few set weights that you know you'll use and be able to simply pick them up and go would be a better purchase. I'd return these but I threw away all the packaging :(

Good set, light weight, good comp price
What is there use: - I use these dumbbells for upper body exercises on my inclined bench. The Good: - The weights are made of high quality materials and I can see them lasting forever. - If the weight is too light, you can buy more weight that is interchangable. - They do not take up much space and I store them in a plastic basket I already had at my house. The Bad: - The spin on weight locks are kindof a hassle, I would rather they be sliding hand tighteners. - There is too much excess bar on each end; where the spin lock goes on. Other: - The set is pretty light so I also purchased (4) 10 lb. weights to interchange. - Compared to other dumbbell options at Dick's (bowflex, nautilus, etc.), this set is the best value. - The total weight for each hand will be 20 lbs. (each bar weights 4 lbs.)

Good standard dumbbell weight set
I use this set with P90x but have other weights to switch to also. This set is good for a heavier amount of weight. You can buy extra weight at the store which I recommend. It takes a good amount of time to switch weights but it's much cheaper than bowflex or other adjustable dumbbells.

Good Product
These dumbbell's are exactly what I was looking for. They did have a slight smell when I first opened them but that went away almost immediately. I would not have noticed it if reviews did not mention it. The only annoying thing to me was the price. It seemed expensive for what it is, but maybe thats just me being cheap.
