Rated 5 out of 5 by Waterlogged boots, drenched Levi's, and a spared life. Shortly after my initial idea to buy a Kayak, I began price matching several kayaks on KSL and numerous outdoors stores along the Wasatch Front. After hours of discouragement my good friend pat suggested to take a look at Dicks Sporting Goods for he had heard that they were having a sale on Kayaks and other accessories included in the purchase. Upon arrival to the Dick's Sporting goods in Midvale, Utah I could already tell the staff was very professional and more than willing to help me out. After fighting with the sales clerk in the marine section on wether I should buy a life vest or not I finally gave in and bought one along with an ore and a 9.5' kayak and was very stoked with my purchase. A week later I planed a weekend long fishing trip in western Utah with my good friend Wyatt. About 1300 hours in the afternoon I ended up capsizing my Kayak about 200 yards off shore with nobody in the water except my buddy on the other side of the resivore. I was able to flip my kayak over and hold onto it but once I reached for my ore and fishing pole so they wouldn't sink, the wind blew my kayak away from me at a pace faster than I could swim so I had to swim for the shore. Not even half way to the shore my body's energy was spent because I was being weighed down by Levi's and my 8lbs. Fire boots I used to fight wildfires in the summer"what I'm doing right now". Once i made it to shore i began to shake uncontrollably for the hyperthermia was setting in. All i could do was lay there on the dry shore in my boxers until my buddy was able to run back to my truck and grab me some warm and dry clothes. At least a hundred people seen me go over and not one of them came running to help besides my buddy in his float tube. I truely believe if it wasn't for my life vest I purchased from Dick's Sporting Goods after giving in to your sales clerk about water safety at the same time I bought my Kayak and ore that there was a very high probability that I would have drowned. Since y'all wanted me to write a review on my satisfaction with my purchase, for saving my life, I figured it was the least I could do. Thank you June 11, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by A solid budget fishing vest Not a bad vest for the price. I bought this for kayak fishing and have worn it for hours at a time without becoming uncomfortable. It's a little bulky for a sit in kayak but is just fine on my sit on. Did not chafe or become uncomfortable when paddling for extended distances. I would like to see some slots maybe for a pair of hook pliers or something but the two zipper pockets hold most of what I need them to. Overall this is a solid vest if you like to fish and don't want to break the bank. April 30, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by F and S Life Vest I use this for Kayaking and it is great. Vest does not choke your neck, it has pockets for H2O, and is padded quite well for comfort. June 18, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great product So I was sort of skeptical about this product at first but after going over and having it keep my afloat with all of my gear it is worth every penny. Oh did I mention I had a $20 off coupon? Pick one of these up if you want a comfortable, affordable, and dependable life vest. September 2, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by rugged vest Vest is rugged and less bulky with the mesh shoulders. My son uses while kayaking, and is very comfortable. June 18, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Larger arm openings allows for Kayaking ease. This product would work exceptionally well if it were available for me in an Adult small size. I am using the medium size. It works well enough but does ride up and if not strapped very tightly will come off over my head without unzipping. Not the best fitting for my size but the only item I have found with zippered pockets and larger arm opening for better ease paddling. September 24, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by This product does what it's designed for Purchased this to use while kayak fishing. Works great and is comfortable to wear. Doesn't ride up and get against chin like other PFD's I've tried in the past. Pockets provide a place to store items you might need. September 23, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love the comfort I purchased this particular Life vest because I liked the freedom of movement, it's lightweight, less bulky than the others that I tried, and affordably priced . I would recommend this item to others. September 3, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Field & Steam Adult Fishing Vest This was the only vest that I could find in Dick's that would fit me comfortably and I am an average size person. However, the vest is still a little too bulky around the middle for me in a 10 foot kayak. The pockets are a definite plus and the mesh shoulders keep me cool even during the warmer months in Florida. I am overall pleased with this purchase but not too happy with the price, well over $60.00 w/ tax. September 9, 2014
