Bought this lock a while ago and just recently found the packaging while cleaning. Package states it comes with quick release mount and resettable combination. False and sort of false. No quick release mount was included and the lock is not resettable without tools. You can set your own combo by basically disassembling the lock and then rebuilding it with the dials in the order you want. With it unlocked there is a small slit near the one side. You need to pop out the c-clip holding the tumblers in place. Once apart you can rebuild it with your combo. Start with the plastic spring and metal disk notches lined up. Then place the number dial with your first number lined up with the dash. Repeat for the others and put the c-clip back on when done. Lock is now reset.

Rated 3 out of 5 by T Quick lock for a quick stop
First time using it, lock wouldn't open with combination- turns out, the combination worked but the latch end is a tight fit in the lock- the cable end had to be wiggled/jiggled until it slid out of the lock. After a few times of this, the rubber endcap that covers the cable-to-lock slid off! I was able to slide/click it back on, but it always slides off when wiggling/jiggling the end when unlocking it. Another issue = the cable is noticably thinner than what everyone else locks their rusted bikes up with! Even beat up rental bikes come with thicker cable locks. I only recommend this if you are travelling light and need to hop into a store/bathroom quick during a ride, but I would not trust it if you are leaving your bike alone for a length of time, such as at a campsite while asleep, or biking to the ocean for a swim. I am going to find a thicker cable/better lock for that, and switch them out as necessary.

simple lock, has very little jiggle in any way. the plastic is not of the highest quality, but for the price range it is comparable. i got this cable over a thicker cable due to weight and space saving benefits it has, it fits nicely spooled around the base of my bike seat

the only drawback is that they set the lock combination for you. I now have to carry around a piece of paper for the combination because I don't use it enough to remember the setting!! Wish I could reset it, but not. If you have a good memory, it's a nice lightweight lock. If not, you better carry the combination with you.

It's a good lock for the price. I liked that you knew the combination before I bought it. I could pick the one that was easy to remember .

Rated 3 out of 5 by Sharpie7 Your average bike lock, but does the job.
You pay for and get what you see here. It is your basic and average bike lock that seems to do it's job. The only thing I didn't realize when I bought it, is that you can't change the 4 digit combo, it is what it is.

For $10, the peace of mind this gives you is worth it. No, this will not keep the determined thief away. This lock is really more of a deterrent. But if you're just out running a quick errand into the store, the $10 piece of equipment could save your several-thousand-dollar investment from being stolen by the opportunists. Completely worth it.
