Rated 5 out of 5 by Yaking Florida Great Kayak
I bought this Kayak at Dicks In Orlando Fl. and it was great to do business there everyone there went out of their way to help me. Not to mention the great price. I have now been out with it many times and it is a pleasure it has lots of room, Tracks well I never get wet. I did change the set before I ever even used the one that comes with it so I can't tell you anything about that I just wanted a high back seat because of my bad back. This kayak is GREAT and well worth the money as good as a lot of higher priced kayaks if you wanted a Great Kayak for fishing or just relaxing in out on the water this will get you out there for not a lot of Cash Just Love It !!!!!!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Dan This Yak Sold Itself
I've had this boat for two years now and have enjoyed it immensely. It's my first kayak and no, I haven't been on some of those $2400 water bikes so someday I'll have to take a look, but for $400 on sale, I think I did well. This was a gift from my wife for my birthday and she did a lot of research before she took me to Dicks to take a look. Dicks had several yaks to look over and this one simply had the most features for the least money. We took it home. The scupper holes let in some water and with the standard seat, you're gonna get a wet butt, but in my neck of the woods, a wet butt and 98 degrees of temp isn't necessarily a bad thing. If you want to plug the scuppers you can, or you can raise the seat a bit and there are different, easy ways to do this. Use a little ingenuity. The Scotty rod holder is useless for a rod holder, but others have noted it will work great for a fish finder if you want to gussy it up a bit. I'm a day tripper so I don't need all the storage this kayak offers. This kayak paddles against the wind very well. Minimal effort will keep it moving against a stiff breeze and if you want exercise, you can get it leaving a wake behind. My boat leaks! I don't know where it's coming from, but not to worry. After about 8 hours on the water, it collects about half a cup in the body. So, I suppose "leaks" isn't the right word. "Seeps" would be more accurate. If I took the time, I suppose I could put calk around all the little added fittings for the various features this yak has, but it hasn't been a problem. Fun? The first time you hook a 25 pound blue cat on a kayak, you'll be "hooked" pardon the pun. Heck, even a 14 inch bass will pull the nose around. One of my favorite fishing positions is to turn sideways and let my feet dangle in the water as the wind just blows me along the shore line. I hardly use my jon boat anymore.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Ace Not a good choice for recreational paddling
Bought this boat for my wife because she wanted a sit on top big enough and stable enough so our 60 lb. Dalmation could ride with her. It fit the bill for that, but it was just too much boat for my wife to enjoy paddling. She is a petite gal, and the 12 ft. lenght and 68 lb. weight was a bit much. I tried it, and would have to agree, it's not a boat for recreational paddling, but makes a great fishing platform. We only used it once, and returned it. Great boat, not just for what we wanted.

My buddy has a ocean kayak drifter, I have used a trident 13 and a wilderness systems tarpon. This kayak is better than all of them, more stable, faster, and more features the Scotty rod mount is in the perfect place for a fish finder and the 360 tackle tray spot is great for my soft sided tackle box. I was able to stand and fish/paddle around on this kayak. It would be nice to have a bigger cargo aeries in the back but, it is worth the loss in space for the tackle tray storage thengey, also would be nice to have the bow sit a little higher. The plastic is also a little flimsy but not a big dealIf you look around in the enter net you can find a 20% off coupon witch saves you 110$ (they take expired coupons). Defenatly recomend it to any one!
