Rated 3 out of 5áby Not a bad kayak All around not a bad kayak, tracks well, the 6 scutter holes are the bad part as your feet are in water the whole time, there is a set of holes right under the seat and there is a set in the rear where the gear is stored so it gets wet. The seat is very thin causing the butt to go numb after a few hrs and it sits down some so you butt and legs get wet from being on water the whole time. The area to store your gear could be bigger. Rated 5 out of 5áby Field and Stream Talon Wife purchased the Talon Eagle at Dicks in Pensacola. Loves it. Stable, tracks very well and fast. Cant go wrong with this one. As far as customer service...one foot peg was missing lock. Martin shipped it the dame day we spoke and delivered UPS next day. June 17, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5áby Solid Kayak, Lots of Space, Too Many Scupper Holes I had never kayaked before until buying this kayak and overall I was very impressed. The fishing rod holders are very handy and there is ample storage for a day on the lake. The small anchor that comes with it is enough to keep you put if it's not overly windy. The only downside for the 'yak is that there are 6 scupper holes and most of them are unnecessary. Otherwise it's a solid kayak! June 14, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5áby Excellent product As my first kayak, I was skeptical of the stability. But to my suprise, its super stable! Very easy to fish from as well as paddle. Only negative is the seat as others have stated. But its tolerable June 13, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5áby Lots of Features-very stable but a few issues This is my 1st kayak so I can only compare with a few times I've borrowed others. This kayak has lots thoughtful attachment points and gear storage. However, I don't see an obvious point to attached the paddle so one can have both hands free to get in. I'm 6'5" and weigh 260 lbs. The kayak is rated at 400 lbs capacity. With just me, about 1/4" of water comes up the "drain holes". With my dog 65 #(total 325#), the inside water level is about 1/2-3/4". In both cases the kayak is very stable so maybe this is an intentional design. Also, the foot rests don't seem to go far enough forward so I can keep my legs straight and there is no easy way to remove the foot rests or fold them away. The back rest doesn't go high enough to really support my back but the Eagle Talon is only slightly worse in this regard that other kayak I've used. June 11, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5áby Great Starter Kayak Just getting into Kayaks, and very recently purchased a smaller "on sale" kayak. I am 6'2", 230 lb. and the smaller one was unstable, uncomfortable. This F&S Eagle Talon is so much more stable. The seat that comes with it was replaced after the first outing, but overall a great buy (found it on sale @ Dick's - $399.) June 11, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5áby Streamlined I bought this for my son-in-law and he loves it. Very easy to move in the water. The downfall that we have found is it came with a 1 & a half pound anchor which is not big enough and the seat is not that comfortable. He is going to upgrade to seat, but other than that this is a Great kayak and we got it on sale for $399 which was perfect June 11, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5áby Great kayak for thhe price This is a first purchase of a kayak for myself. I previously owned about 10 canoes. I felt it was a great deal. I paid, on sale, $399.00 plus tax at Dicks. I bought it online and picked it up at store, with no problem. I?ve taking it out five times on lakes and rivers. It is great on both. Being a big guy (6? 270lbs) it preformed good. The lake was smooth and I gliding around very easy. The river a little more challenging, being a 12 ft. kayak in shallow water, it performed nice. I would say I went through class 1 & 2 rapids. Two minor issues with the kayak. The same as most reviews I read. The seat is not comfortable and the front holding rod is almost to far forward. I also need to modify it to put my fish finder on. June 10, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5áby Great Kayak This is my first kayak and I have been very pleased with it. The kayak is very stable and comes with many accessories. I would recommend buying this kayak if in the market as it has everything you need to get started on the water. The only down side was the seat as others have previously mentioned. June 10, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5áby Great Fishing Kayak I replaced my old kayak with this one, so far it has been working great for me (5 trips so far). I read a lot of reviews before I purchased it and nearly all of them mentioned the lack of seat quality. I can now say first hand they are right, this seat is absolutely horrible. Do yourself a favor and buy an upgraded seat along with the boat. As far as stability, tracking, storage, and construction I cannot complain and the price cant be beat. June 8, 2016
