Rated 5 out of 5 by Dan Finally an over all tour level performance ball
I have been searching for almost two years for a tour level performance ball that didn't cheat me on distance, had a touch of spin on the driver to keep the ball in the air long enough but low enough side spin on miss hits; also low spin on long irons and high spin on the short irons. I have played Maxfli most of my life (except for the Taylormade period then I switched to Titleist). These balls match the Maxfli U4x short game spin level but give me way more distance. In fact I was hitting the U4 line avg. 245 max 265 unless down wind and down hill titleist's Pro V1's slightly less at 230 avg. 260 max and; the srixon z stars are going avg. 260 with 280 max with my swing speed with driver of 105-108. Plus the yellow ball is a bit easier to see especially in sping and fall or for winter golf. Not that it matters much as I hit almost everyball except the Titleist ProV1's straight unless my mechanic's are off. Despite the fact the spin rate off the driver is the same for both balls, Srixon's mantle layer keeps the ball straighter, while the titleist's cause a slight 5-10 yard fade from center line. Still playable but sometimes the shots find the rough. I have tried as I said the ProV1's, NXT tour and tour S, Bridgestone 330RXS and Maxfli U4x, and now the Z Stars. So for me with the lower side spin on the woods and long irons than titleist, the same spin rate for the short game as the Maxfli's (the ProV1's spin more than anything but also have softer urethane shell) and more distance than any 3 or 4 piece performance/tour ball I've tried the Srixon Z Stars are here to stay in both white and yellow will still play the Maxfli U4x's as a back up ball in summer but the Zstar's are year round balls. Got these for $29 a great deal normal price of $44 is a bit high.

Have tried a number of balls in this segment of the market, including NXT Tour, Rocketballz Urethane. This performs as well as any of the others (Frankly, I don't think there is much difference in any of the ones mentioned?).

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bobsled Easy to see, very durable
I had been playing the pro V1, but my swing speed isn't sufficient to warrant that ball.
i tried quite s few and the Srixon Z star gives me the feel i am looking for and excellent performance around the greens.

A tour ball for 2.50 per ball! does exactly what it should, soft, flies high and holds when needed.

I have used a number of golf balls and really like the feel of the Srixon Z-Star. It is Srixon's number 1 ball and at this price quite the bargain!

It's a little pricey, but it plays long on tee shots and has nice feel around the greens. I still prefer the Bridgestone B330, but this is a close 2nd. Buy the one that is on sale.

Very satified with this ball. Distance great, soft feel, and more spin than I expected (spun it off of the green a few times). I definitely will buy more of these.
