Great idea, mediocre quality We purchased the zip-n-hit to help my 8-year old with his timing. Conceptually I can see it working well and I'm looking forward to things to come. The product itself is lacking in quality. We've broken two of these now, both in the same place, and both after literally less than a hand-full of hits. The black "washer" on the batter side of the ball breaks very quickly. After only a few swings, it went flying on both of the units that we purchased. Dick's took back the first one. The second one is headed back tonight. I'll recommend the product cautiously. April 1, 2013
Amazing Product This is such a great product for all ages. We used it for our 6 year old as he has imporoved so much! Very highly recommended!! December 29, 2011
Excellent batting trainer .... Best thing about the SKLZ Zip-N-Bit Pro is that is saved my arm. I've been coaching baseball for over 15 years and always have a dead arm by the middle of the season. The SKLZ put absolutely no strain on my arms so no strain. Additionally, the SKLZ deliveries the ball accurately every time so the battery gets a much better work out. At the cost the SKLZ is more than worth the price. So easy to setup and use along with being portable that every coach ... better yet ... parent that wants to help their favorite batter get some work in ... that includes both men and women .. should consider adding the SKLZ to their training tools. Nice tool Very useful for forcing eye to ball contact. When watching the ball glide on the chord, a child can learn to pick up the ball quickly and watch it all the way in. May 22, 2011
Don't judge a book by it's cover It's a great tool for training any batter.[...] We actually have a few of these now and use them at every practice. What a great tool for an even better price. May 18, 2011
3rd one i have owned very useful, don't have to chase the ball, quick way for my girls to practice hitting May 17, 2011
Great for training, but cheaply made. We've had a good time using the Zip-N-Hit to help train our daughter & son. But, within minutes of using it the padding on the inside of the handles was falling off & the stoppers on the front of the handles that the ball hits also came unglued & we kept having to push them back on until we could glue them. It was only [$], but I think they could afford to use a little more glue to keep things from falling apart right out of the box. I also see why they included a replacement cord because we were already seeing fraying the first time we used it. A handy training tool, but could be better made. May 11, 2011
