Rated 2.4 out of 5 by 10 reviewers.
Rated 3 out of 5 by It's Got It's Uses Consider the age and use that you're buying this for. The reviews on assembly are all correct in a way. I didn't have trouble assembling, but I took a few suggestions to heart. The hinge feature is such that I will not plan on collapsing the unit to store, but it does sit nicely in corner on its end. This is a sturdy piece of equipment, and it provides good rebound and pitch-back per it's advertising. BUT - it's most useful I would think for the U-10 and smaller age range. Good for limited space yards to practice in, Great for creative kids that will make use of both sides, can be used indoors to some degree through winters. My now-14-year-old son was using it for precision passing and shot control just today.. but the "return" side he doesn't employ anymore. I'm hoping to pass it on to a parent with younger kids just starting out because it is well-made and has years of use ahead... just for smaller boots. April 1, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Nets don't fit The curved net and the flat net both don't fit. Will exchange it for one that hopefully works. Since the nets don't fit I have to give it a 1 for quality and value, hard to tell if it works if we can't get the rebound nets on. January 5, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by net is too small The net is too small on the curved side. I had to really stretch it and bend the bars. It doesn't shoot the balls as high up as in the YouTube videos. December 30, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Dangerous item Our daughter received this for her 12th birthday. While trying to fold it down to store in the basement, I found the hinge locks were very difficult to unhook. I managed to get the first one done, with a bit of a struggle. I went to unlock the second one which was very tight as well. When it finally gave way, the hinge snapped shut and locked on my finger. It took two of us to get my finger out of the hinge and a trip to the ER with a crush injury to my finger -- which is still numb 3 weeks later. We were very thankful this was not one of our children folding down the net. It clearly has a dangerous design flaw. December 26, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great training This sends some excellent bounces to help with receiving. It's small target area is equal to the size area of someone you are passing to so it makes kids focus on getting a crisp pass and accurate pass to the rebounder. The complaints I read about putting it together are somewhat valid. I found that by taking the support rods off, I was able to put on and secure the nets on. Once on, it was easy to put the support rods in and it's been great. September 8, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by SHOULD HAVE LISTENED TO THE REVIEWS.... I BOUGHT THIS EVEN AFTER READING THE REVIEWS BECAUSE I FIGURED MY HUSBAND, WHO CAN FIX JUST ABOUT ANYTHING, WOULD NOT HAVE A PROBLEM PUTTING IT TOGETHER...NOT SO MUCH. HE CAME IN AND GAVE THE PRODUCT A FEW CHOICE WORDS AND TOOK IT BACK TO THE STORE...NEEDLESS TO SAY, MY KIDS EXCITEMENT QUICKLY TURNED INTO SADNESS...WHAT A BUMMER...WHO INVENTED THIS PRODUCT? MOREOVER, WHO GAVE IT A PASSING GRADE TO EVEN BE SOLD IN YOUR STORE? May 21, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Traning for Soccer I purchased this item for son to practice in the backyard. I saw the video on Youtube and was impressed. I was equally impressed once I received the item. The frame assembly was easy. The netting is tough to get on but if you get an extra hand it goes on tight! The net needs to be tight. This gives the best ball response. I had to play with the bungees a bit to get it just right. There is no other product like it. I am going to bring to his next soccer practice so ALL the kids and coaches can train with it. Rated 2 out of 5 by Great Idea With a Design Flaw I have purchased two and both had the same problem. The first one had a net that not only didn't fit the frame, one of the sleeves used to slide onto the frame was facing in the wrong direction. The second one just plain didn't fit. After trying to install it in stages and then locking everything in, there was too much stress in the frame. I have a feeling that this one had been previously returned as part of the frame seemed bent compare to its counterpart on the other side. [...] Looks good on youtube. Not so good at home. Rated 2 out of 5 by Second Product Being Returned. Like I said earlier, the frame assembly is pretty quick and seems sturdy. But this has a design flaw in the netting size. This net had all the sleeves facing the right direction. But the net isn't near wide enough for the frame. August 9, 2011
Rated 2 out of 5 by Set Up The assembly of the main frame went pretty seamlessly. But the netting of our purchase had flaws. Too small to attatch to the frame by inches even after trying to stretch. One of the sleeves to slide onto the frame is in the wrong direction of the one we purchased and subsequently returned. Hope the replacement works smoother. July 26, 2011
