Broken when bought I give this particular purchase a huge "thumbs down". It was broken when I got it home and have been to busy to take it back as of yet. I have had 3 people try to get it to work with no success. Maybe it is just this particular one that it defective, but it still stinks that it doesn't work. I will be returning it, but have since lost the receipt, so you should have a record of my purchase since I used my Dicks card. March 12, 2013
Buy a can of mace instead for protection I bought this mini air horn for security purposes for my sister. I bought 2 of them. I opened up the 1st one to demonstrate it for my sister and both of us were very disappointed. That was $9.99 down the drain. The other one is going back to Dick's Sporting Goods store tomorrow. It's a good thing I also purchased a can of mace. I pity the fool that messes with my sister now!!!! If you are at Dick's Sporting Goods store and you are debating between buying the can of mace and the portable mini air horn for security - buy the can of mace. TRUST ME!!!! February 8, 2013

DOES NOT WORK! As other reviewers have already stated, this product does not work. [A quick message to Dick's-- Please take this defective product off your shelves. An air horn is meant for use in emergency situations, and this DOES NOT WORK!]. I actually bought this to take on by bike rides in case I had to get the attention of a car or scare off a dog. One day a dog started chasing me, and I tried to use the air horn to scare it off. When I needed the horn most, it failed. Please don't buy this product if you are using it as a safety device.
